Cathleen woke up with a start, spilling papers and empty beer cans cups all over.  Clutching her throbbing head she moaned, "Oh No!  I forgot Peter's birthday!  I'd better wring his neck, I mean, ring him up right away and apologize!"

Completely forgetting about the date line and time zones, Cathleen dialed up Peter's number.

RING!  RING!  RING! blared the phone.  "Uh...........hello?" said a very sleepy voice.

"PETER!!" shouted Cathleen into the phone, thinking the volume would help Peter hear her better (what with him being Down Under and all)  "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!"

Peter clutched his throbbing head, thinking it must all be a bad dream or a bad peanut that he ate...............that woman couldn't possibly have tracked him down............

Oh how I've missed "As the world turns with Cathleen and Peter"!

Yeah!!!

Yeah!!!

Peter shoved the phone under a pillow to drown out the loud caterwauling singing that was coming from the receiver......when he finally thought the coast was clear that she was finally done he gingerly picked up the phone again.

Pretending that he was a 5-year-old child (which wasn't too hard for him to do), Peter said, "HULLO?  HULLO?  WHO IS THIS, PWEASE?"

Cathleen looked at the phone in dismay, wondering if she had dialed the wrong number by mistake.  "I'll fix you, you sly old (emphasis on OLD) fox, you!"

"Peter, you naughty man!  Don't tease your friend!  I'm only trying to be nice for a change."

"Spare change" thought Peter.

"I'm going to send you a nice fresh box of peanuts as a gift!" squealed Cathleen.

"Hmmm......" thought Peter.  "Maybe she is trying to reform be nice for once."

Too funny!!!
