Going to Rome and visiting the tomb of St. Pius X!

I will be visiting the tomb of St. Pius X.  I have printed out the Litany to him you have posted.  Thank you for posting it!  The novena could not be better timed!  We have it scheduled so we will visit his tomb on August 31st while we are in Rome!

I found this info on the internet about St. Pius X:

On May 19, 1944, Pope Pius X's coffin was exhumed and was taken to the Chapel of the Holy Crucifix in St. Peter's Basilica for the canonical examination. Upon opening the coffin, the examiners found the body of Pope Pius X preserved, despite the fact that he had died 30 years before and had made wishes not to be embalmed.
Following his beatification, on February 17, 1952, Pope Pius X's body was transferred from its tomb to the Vatican basilica and placed under the altar of the chapel of the Presentation. The pontiff's body lies within a glass and bronze-work sarcophagus for the faithful to see. On May 29, 1954, less than three years after his beatification, Pope St. Pius X was canonized.

Mary Ellen, thank you for your prayers for us while visiting all these places.  Be assured we will pray for you, for safe travels.  A travel journal would be wonderful, if you can manage it.  :-)

We are leaving Wednesday, 8/29 and will arrive in Rome on Thursday 8/30 am.

I am hoping to get internet access (plus know how to translate it to English) and would like to keep a daily journal and send it to you each evening.

We are going to visit each place where the remains of 8 of the apostles are.  Interesting, one place, St. Bartholomew Church where St. Bartholomew remains are, has been corrupted a bit in that Pope John Paul II started a new project at the church in honoring the modern day 'martyrs'.  These are people who have died recently for the faith, but it can be either Protestant or Catholic!
