This devotion is a private prayer practice, with some variations, but it is centered on perseverance, trust, and walking with St Joseph in his quiet faith, obedience, and hidden suffering.

We will begin on January 25 to be able to conclude on St. Joseph's feast day of March 19.

In these tumultuous times we need his assistance more than ever.

"Most sorrowful heart of St. Joseph, I consecrate this 54 day novena in honor of thy seven sorrows.  Through these sorrows, please obtain my request (mention here).  I am confident in the love thou bears for me, as thy child who is trying to lead a life pleasing to God.  I thank thee in advance for all the graces that thou does obtain for me.  

By the suffering and sorrows of thy life and the perfect joys that thou enjoys now in Heaven, look down kindly now on me as I kneel before thee, sympathizing with thy sorrow and offering thee my petition with perfect trust.

Please ask of thy dear son Jesus's Most Sacred Heart to mercifully hear my prayer and grant my request."
