Communiqué of the General House: Bp. Williamson Has Been Expelled October 23rd 2012

Communiqué of the General House of the Society of Saint Pius X (October 24, 2012)

Bishop Richard Williamson, having distanced himself from the management and the government of the SSPX for several years, and refusing to show due respect and obedience to his lawful superiors, was declared excluded from the SSPX by decision of the Superior General and its Council, on October 4th, 2012. A final deadline had been granted to him to declare his submission, after which he announced the publication of an “open letter” asking the Superior General to resign.

This painful decision has become necessary by concern for the common good of the Society of Saint Pius X and its good government, according to what Archbishop Lefebvre denounced: “This is the destruction of authority. How authority can be exercised if it needs to ask all members to participate in the exercise of authority? “(Ecône, June 29, 1987)

this is definitly the pray hipe and don't worry

Sorry I ment say This is definitly the key; pray, hope and don't worry

We are all well aware of what is going on but rehashing it here is not going to solve anything.

If you want to make a difference pick up your rosary and fight and ask others to do so as well.

We wanted to do a three day rosary rally so to speak.  We wanted to get as many people as possible to pray  that the SSPX be delivered from the obvious evils it has fallen under, but then we decided against it.

We decided not to undertake such an effort, even though we know full well it would work, because past efforts have taught us that people on both sides are not interested.  They just want to cry and carry on that the devil is sweeping the SSPX away but they are not interested in ACTUALLY DOING anything worthwhile to stop it.

You say support Fr Pfeiffer, I will as soon as he starts telling people to pick up their rosary to defeat that which he decries.

I'll meet you in spirit for that hefeweizen, Susan.  Thank you for your post.  It voiced some of my concerns.

Thank you, Mario.

Dear Bekki,

This was today's Psalter of the Blessed Virgin Mary by Saint Boneventure.

When I read it this morning I immediately thought of Father's suggested prayer to me (above).  Yikes...it looks like Saint Boneventure didn't mince words either in his prayer.

THE PSALTER OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

PSALM 69

O Lady, come to my assistance: and by the light of thy mercy enlighten me.

Teach us to seek thy goodness: that we may declare thy wonders.

Show forth thy power against our enemies: that thou mayest be praised among the distant nations.

In the flames of thy wrath let them be plunged into hell: and may they who trouble thy servants find perdition.

Have mercy on thy servants, upon whom thy name is invoked! and do not permit them to be straitened in their temptations.

Glory be to the Father, etc.
