Last Sister of Archbishop Lefebvre Passes Away

 

Mrs Marie-Thérèse Lefebvre de Toulemonde, 92, the last surviving sister and goddaughter of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, the founder of the Society of Saint Pius X, died on October 17 at 10.20 p.m.
She was married to Guy de Toulemonde. They emigrated in 1949 to Dosquebradas, Colombia, where her husband headed the textile company OMNES which today employs 130 co-workers. The family had five children.
Mrs de Toulemonde started many social initiatives, among others, she ran for over thirty years a kitchen for 200 poor children. Her funeral service was celebrated in the local San José de Pereira church.
