After their low Mass today my friends told me that Father skipped them, and that during hurricane season they're substituting the prayer against storms.

Anyone else experiencing that?

Weren't they the first change, being suppressed by PaulVi in 65 or 66?

We have no Mass here so I don't know if this is happening in other places, but is it really necessary to "replace" them for the storm prayer?  Couldn't the priest simply add the storm prayer after the Leonine prayer?  Sounds fishy to me.

Dawn,

It's how, in all the years I was going to the SSPX in Fl it was always done. My friends who are still assisting at Mass at OLV in Davie were stunned. It wasn't announced, the prayers were just not done. When asked, the Pastor just said that's how it's going to be.

Are other SSPX Chapels not doing the Leonine prayers anymore? What's really ominous, especially with Fellay's determination to join the modernists, is that the Leonine prayers were the first to go 50 years ago before the wholesale destruction of the Mass.

I'm really interested to know if other SSPX Chapels are excluding the prayers after Low Mass.

Well I'm not surprised if that is what the priest said.  The smoke of Satan has entered the SSPX via it's constant desire to enter into a Rome that is not Catholic and filled with the smoke of Satan itself.

You know the old saying, go into a room filled with smoke and you come out smelling like smoke.

These are some trying times, that's for sure. It's actually a little scary. St Michael and St Philomena pray for us. Holy Mary Immaculate pray for us.

At a low Mass the  Leonine prayers are  ALWAYS  said at our  SSPX Chapel Our Lady of Sorrows  and also the SSPX Chapel  where our daughters family go to at St. John Vienney .  I am very sadden to read that some of the Chapels are not doing this and I pray that the people at these Chapels are saying it any themselves after Mass.  Extremely powerful prayers.

I'm glad to hear that it seems it's only in Fl that the Leonine prayers have been suppressed, and not in other States. It appears that the only Chapels affected are the ones under the aegis of Fr Vernoy.

Today Parishioners at Our Lady Of Victory in Davie Fl were chastised by the Pastor for praying the Leonine prayers after Mass. They were told their "sensibilities" we're protestant.

I'm at a loss for words.

Yes after some of us did some digging we found it was only here in Florida that this is happening so thank Heavens for that, but sorrowfully Fr. Vernoy continues down the path of destruction in his leadership here.

No replacements in Chicago! We continue to say these Leonine prayers plus after every Mass in June the Litany of The Sacred

Heart. In May we prayed the Litany of The Blessed Virgin Mary after every Mass!! We also were very blessed last Sunday to

have Fr.. Brandon Haenny say his first Mass at his home parish of Our Lady Immaculate. It was a most beautiful Solemn

High Mass with deacon, subdeacon etc plus we in the choir were able to sing the beautiful Mass by Gabrielli in F. Our church

was packed  with family, guests and parisheners. A delicious luncheon was served afterward. Thought I would share this most joyous occasion of a newly ordained priest.

Yep - excluded several times in 2017-2018 academic year under Fr J Brucciani

In Germany, we pray the prayer against storms more often, after the Low Mass, but not always. Yes, it would be interesting to know what rule defines this.
