PRAYERS FOR THE FAMILY AND HOME
Hear us, O holy Lord, almighty Father, eternal God, and deign to send your holy angel from heaven, to guard, cherish, protect, visit, and defend all who dwell in this house. Through Christ Our Lord. AMEN.
May Christ Jesus dwell with us, keep us from all harm, and make us one in mind and heart, now and forever. AMEN. Father, watch over Your family, and keep us safe in Your care, for all our hope is in You. Grant this through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. AMEN.
O Father, come and visit our home and protect us from the lures of the Enemy. May Your holy angels come to guard our peace, and may Your blessing remain with us forever. Grant this through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. AMEN.
In Thy name, Lord Jesus Christ, we pray that Thou cover us, our families, and all of our possessions with Thy love and Thy Most Precious Blood and surround us with Thy heavenly angels, saints and the mantle of Our Blessed Mother. AMEN.
In the evening, in the morning, and at noon, we praise You, we bless You, we give You thanks; and we beg you, Master of the universe, grant that our hearts will not yield to evil words, but free us from those who try to enslave our souls, because our eyes are turned to You, O Lord, and we have placed our hope in You. Do not abandon us, O God! For all glory, honor, and adoration is due to You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, now and always and forever and ever. AMEN.
Visit, we beseech You, O Lord, this home, and drive far from it all the snares of the Enemy. Let Your holy angels dwell in it to guard us in peace; and may Your blessing remain with us forever. AMEN.
Lord Jesus Christ, who said to Your apostles, “In whatever home you enter, greet it, saying, ‘Peace be in this home’”; let this same peace, we pray, abide in this place. We beseech You to sanctify it by the merits of our trusting prayer. Pour Your blessings on it, and make it a place of peace. May salvation enter our abode as it entered the house of Zacchaeus, when You graced it with Your presence. Entrust Your angels to guard it, and banish from it every evil power. Grant that all who live in it may please You with their good works, and so receive from You, when their time comes, the reward of Your heavenly home. We ask this through Christ, Our Lord. AMEN.
By Your compassion, O Lord, we beseech you, loosen the bonds of our sins, and by the intercession of the ever-blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, together with blessed Joseph, and your holy Apostles Peter and Paul, and all the saints, preserve us, your servants, and our dwelling places in all holiness. Cleanse from the stains of sin our relatives, kinsfolk, and acquaintances. Grant to us peace and health. Remove from us all our enemies, visible and invisible. Repel carnal desires, grant us healthful seasons, bestow your love on our friends and enemies. Protect our Pontiff, [Name], defend all prelates, princes, and the entire Christian people from all adversity. May your blessing be always upon us, and grant eternal rest to the souls of all your faithful departed. Through Christ our Lord. AMEN.
O Mary, mother of grace and mercy, defend us against the wicked spirit, reconcile us with your Son, commit us to His keeping, so that we may be made worthy of His promises.
St. Joseph, foster father of our Savior, guardian of His holy Mother, head of the Holy Family, intercede for us, bless us, and defend our home at all times.
St. Michael, defend us against all the evil cunning of hell.
St. Gabriel, make us to understand the holy will of God.
St. Raphael, preserve us from all sickness and from every danger to our lives.
Our holy guardian angels, keep our feet safely on the path of salvation both day and night.
Our holy patron saints, pray for us before the throne of God.
Yes, bless this house, O God the Father who has created us; O God the Son, who has suffered for us upon the holy Cross; and You, Holy Spirit, who have sanctified us in holy Baptism. May the one God in three divine Persons preserve our bodies, purify our minds, direct our hearts, and bring us all to everlasting life. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit! AMEN.
