They have him lying is state at his papal residence.

I have just found out that starting Monday morning he will be lying in state in St. Peter's Basilica until Thursday.

Indeed! Can't focus much since I heard about his passing. Well, I kinda expected it was his time to rest, but then, ...

Great! Blessed you, Bernadette! And blessed me, I have one, too, plus some other souvenirs of him when I was at his Wednesday Mass in November 2010. A great consolation! Deo gratias!

Interesting...the fog descended on St. Peter's during the funeral, then, after Benedict was entombed this cross appeared in the sky over the Basilica. Supposedly, according to some Italian's this fog is an anomaly and doesn't really happen there, at least for this time of the year I imagine.
