I find it fascinating that Weigel declares that the Church of the counter-reformation is ending.  Weigel writes, "Evangelical Catholicism is emerging from a process of deep Catholic reform that began in the late 19th century, and its flowering will require further reforms in the church."  Weigel declares the victory of modernism, while both trying to disavow the terms post modern and deconstruction, implying by inference that somehow the Council of Trent, a scholastic, dogmatic council is such.  Combine this with Cardinal Muller's declaration that doctrine does not matter.  Really breathtaking.  Weigel is wired in to the USCCB and EWTN.  This could be the plan going forward.  They will not try to suppress the true Mass, just move it to the catacombs.

Weigel's take there reminds me of what Pope Leo the XIII saw/heard when satan said he could overcome if given more time and power.  The deal was 100 years right?

It sounds like Weigel is declaring satan the victor What a sad man.  What a big surprise he's in for.

Weigel is a traitor. I stopped reading after his comment D quoted above. As if for two thousand years the Church wasn't centered on the Gospel.

He, either wittingly or unwittingly, is advocating a one world church. He's a moron, so I'm betting "unwittingly." Bravo satan. And touchee.

He may be more than a traitor...he actively seeks the destruction of the Church.  It's just interesting he thinks they have won.  He declares victory.

We all know what Our Lady said at Quito Ecuador about what happens when it looks like its all over, when it looks like the enemy has conquered.

Her foot will then be coming down to crush the enemy :))))

btw Bill, I saw your prayer request this morning.  You are always, everyday in my prayers.

Are you going to Saint Augustine on the 17th of February?  If so and we can get there I'd like to meet up with you after Mass, or before.  :)

Thanks for your prayers D. I really need them. Sick feeling in the pit of my stomach which is constant and won't go away. Haven't slept much all week either.

And I'm going to watch the sky for Our Lady's Heel!! Thank God for the Society! AB Lefebvre, pray for us!

I can't make the 17th unfortunately.

I agree D,  he may be more than a traitor.  The amount of hubris is sickening.
