We are orphans and St. Louis de Montfort

I feel very deeply in these troubled times that I am an orphan and Mary has adopted me out of the chaos.   I feel like all of us here are orphans because of what has happened to our poor Church! 

One of my favorite verses from the Little Crown is this:

"Glory be to thee, oh Mother of orphans; render the Almighty favorable to us!"

I say this little verse often and I am, for me, adding the Little Crown Prayer as an additional prayer for the talks in Rome.  It is a most powerful, simple and most beautiful prayer.

I have been reading St. Louis de Montfort's biography, "Wisdom's Fool".    It is very inspiring for me to read this.  He was rejected by almost everyone.  Yet he loved receiving the crosses that Mary sent him.  He embraced them.

I read to my husband (because he hates to read) the story of the life of Saint Louis Marie DeMontfort.

Before it even was at the middle of the book we were crying for how much he suffered and how he reacted to those sufferings.  A truly incredible and amazing Saint and one very near our hearts.

Thank you for this Mary Ellen it is a great comfort.
