Daily Devotions to St. Joseph - Day 10

St. Paul writes that in the next life Jesus Christ "will render to every man according to his works"  (Romans, 2:6).  What great glory must we not suppose that He has bestowed upon St. Joseph, who served and loved Him so much while He lived on earth!   Our Lord promised a reward to him who gives a cup of cold water to the poor in His name.  What they must be the reward of St. Joseph who can say to Jesus Christ:  "I not only provided  Thee with food, with a dwelling, and with clothes, but I save Thee from death, delivering Thee from the hands of Herod."

St. Joseph, increase our zeal for growing in holiness by the hope of eternal reward.

St. Joseph, obtain for our family  a great love for Mary, thy most holy spouse . St. Joseph inflame our family with the Love of Jesus  and Mary every day of our life  on earth.

I ask  the grace to imitate your virtues St. Joseph so I may be pleasing to the Heart of God.

St. Joseph,pray for the Holy Father, that whatever shackles bind him from consecrating Russia may be broken and the consecration accomplished. In the Precious Blood of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Fiat! Amen.
