A prayer for our country - Litany for America

I pray that we will all pray this beautiful prayer for our country.  I know I will be actively promoting this prayer to family, friends, my e-buddies and other web-based prayer groups. 

Mea culpa, I too am guilty of minimally praying the consecration of America to the Immaculate Heart of Mary since withdrawing in 2011 (due to impaired mobility), from the pro-life activism of the Priests for Life ministry.  Sadly, conditions in our country have worsened, they no longer call for passively watching and hoping for the best outcome, as the abortion industry advance their agenda to include infanticide and post birth murder.  This development, needless to say, should militate a more aggressive (albeit, peaceful and prayerful) response from those of us who, following Jesus, our Savior, are mandated to defend life. 

The rising economic indicators that allow us to breathe and live easier, I pray, will wake us up to our responsibility as citizens of this country, the best in the world, to pass it on to our posterity, better than we found it.  This responsibility burdens us twice as much as Catholics called to be co-operators with God and spiritual influencers in the salvation of those who are in our orbit.

God help us all.
