ST HILDEGARD COOKIES FOR JOY!

Having made St Hildegard's cookies myself, I thought Crusaders members may like to make them after the busy festive season. St Hildegard herself recommended them for slowing down the ageing process, support mental abilities and eliminate sadness.

Blessed Christmas everyone

Have a Blessed, Holy and Merry Christmas.  Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary!

I liked this prayer

In my desire for the mundane and temporal, I forfeited the good things of eternity. Set aright my thinking, O loving Lord, and save my wretched soul from sin.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

BEWARE OF FACELESS ANGELS

Greeting from England!

I have recently read a book "The Miracle Ship" about a Catholic faith healer called John Gillespie who lives and has healing services in Ireland. One of the things he mentions is "Faceless Angels" that people collect or give as presents. He states some ornaments have pagan chants said over them as they leave the factory and has advised people who have them in their home who contacted him who are experiencing demonic problems to get rid of them…

Beautiful prayer

Prayer of Louis de Blois

Welcome me, sweet Jesus, I beseech thee; press me in the delightful embrace of thy love, and in its warmth let my numbed spirit be thawed to new life. Open, Lord, open at my knock, and admit my orphan soul into the soft recesses of thy divine Heart. Though I am the vilest and most unworthy of sinners, deign, Lord, to open for me the secret chambers of thy love, the inmost shrine of thy Heart. For my soul yearns to be united with thee in active love. But never… Continue

SAY NO TO HALLOWEEN

Parents, don't be fooled by Halloween, don't celebrate this event, but celebrate All Saints Eve! with Mass and religious content. The Devil is working very hard to get your children and Ourselves via the Media and the world, don't let him get any foothold.

WILLIAM EMMANUEL KETTELER (1811-1877)

MY PRIESTHOOD AND A STRANGER

For what we are and for our vocations. In the case of the famous Bishop Ketteler,

to a simple nun, the lowest and poorest lay sister in the convent.

The year was 1869 and a German diocesan bishop was sitting together with his guest,

Bishop Ketteler from Mainz. In the course of their conversation, the diocesan bishop came

to the topic of his guest’s extremely blessed apostolate. Yet,…

SALUTATION TO MARY

St. John Eudes recommended this prayer for the conversion of sinners and advised his spiritual children to say it at the bedside of the sick. The Blessed Virgin promised him that ‘all who say it with devotion, or at least good will, if they are in the state of grace, receive an increase of Divine love in their hearts at each of the salutations or benedictions contained in it; if they are in…

Lord grant us access to the Mass and the strength to face martyrdom if necessary.

29-31st was the UK Canterbury Pilgrimage. My dear husband and I made base camp and foraged for food in local supermarkets. Our 2 teenagers completed the 65 miles. Please pray that they allow God to use their strengths for His greater glory.

As a consolation prize for not being able to do the actual pilgrimage we visited St Dunstan's Church in Canterbury where King Henry II did his public penance in reparation for the crime against St Thomas a Becket. If I understood correctly inside this…

"Thank you" to St. Benedict

This past Sunday, my son Eric was in a car accident.  Thank God he wasn't hurt nor was the other driver, but the car was "totaled."  He was driving his older brother's car, and carelessly pulled out in front of another driver in a four-way intersection on country roads.

When that brother first got this old car almost 5 years ago, I had sewn a large St. Benedict medal to the driver's side visor to ask the good saint to watch over him.

Yesterday I went to the…
