You lucky girl!  I wish I lived so near to the good bishop and to a priory!  Father Coletti who joined the Crusaders some weeks ago also lives about 5 min from the priory.  He is very happy the good bishop is coming too.

A Wonderful Sunday evening to you  Bernadette. Yes we live about 50 miles from there.  Burrrrrrr for the temps for over night will be way over 25 below and lower and the high for tomorrow hopefully 13 below.   Needless to say I am making something in the oven to help keep the home warmer.  I am so happy for you being in the presents of Bishop Tissier.  You are truly ,all being blessed.  Do have a pleasant week.

How disappointing :( I really was hoping to hear His Excellency. Oh well. Someone said that after Mass on Sunday Bp. Tissier had to go to the E.R., they said he was dehydrated.

I added His Excellency Bp. Tissier to our novena to St Joan of Arc.

Thank you for your birthday greeting Bernadette, and for the comments.  The picture of Mary is from the Ghent Altarpiece by Van Eyke.  The tree I think you are referring to is a Persimmon.  If you click the 'see more' button in the slide show, it actually shows some comments beneath the photos.  The photo was 2012, but the fruit is at the same stage right now.  This year I only have about one tenth of the number shown in the photo !  we had quiet a dry summer.

Yes I did receive your lengthy and very good letter about your husbands' health - I could have sworn I'd answered it only yesterday, sorry about the long delay.  I've looked in my 'sent mail' and can't see it there anywhere !  I thought being retired now I would have more time !!!!!  It seems I've had endless forms to fill out from all sorts of government departments, and I'm finally down to having

only two more to complete !!

I do hope Francis is doing well now.  Thank you so much for your very interesting letter and Deo gratias for the physical turnaround.  I'll include your intentions in my regular prayers to St Monica for a large group of us in New Zealand who make one holy hour each month and contribute to Masses for our loved ones who cause us concern.  St Monica pray for us.
