Father Nicholas Gruner, RIP
April 29: It is my sad duty to announce the sudden death of Father Nicholas Gruner
He died suddenly late today of a heart attack while working at his Fatima Center office.
At the moment, I do not know more than this. Please re-visit our page for updates.
And please remember Father Gruner in your prayers, a good friend and a true Catholic Crusader.

This is sudden and very sad...Kyrie Eleison+
God rest his eternal soul. Our Lady will take care of him.
Oh dear. This is a shock. The first thought that crossed my mind when I heard the news was that things in the world are going to get much, much worse very soon, and Our Lady has spared Fr. Gruner from having to experience it.
May God have mercy on his soul, and on all of us.
Requiem æternam dona ei Domine; et lux perpetua luceat ei. Requiescat in pace. Amen
David, I had the same thoughts. :-(
May God rest his soul. I feel like I have lost a member of my family. I have been receiving his newsletters for years. May Our Lady reward him for his sincere and faithful love for her and her Fatima message, which shone through in everything he did. It was kind of fitting that he passed away at his desk, hard at work.
Rest in peace, Father. We will miss you.
You may be right David but then again it could also mean something else.
It just may be possible that God called His faithful servant at this time because, it may be, that the consecration of Russia will soon take place and the work that Father Gruner so faithfully devoted his life to, which of course is the fulfillment of that consecration would no longer be needed.
Or may simply have no deeper meaning than it was his time and God called him by name.
(As for the idea that God called him now before the chastisement, because the chastisement is soon to follow, to my little mind that doesn't seem right. Father Gruner would have happily suffered any and all for Our Lady, he would probably not wish to be spared such a thing. But of course only God has all these answers. For now, the dear man who served his beloved Queen so well now has seen her face to face. And prayerfully we hope he is in the presence of God and His most Holy Mother now.)
I will add though, for us pitiful creatures left here, his voice and presence will be severely missed, and the world is suffering a great loss, but perhaps Heaven is celebrating a great gain.
Thank you for the encouraging thoughts, DM. I have become increasingly concerned about the the tidal wave of sinfulness engulfing the world, and its consequences. I must remember that whatever God's holy will is, it will be done. If in fact there are great Crosses coming, we must embrace them. It does no good to speculate about what they might be or when they may be presented to us, or whether or not they will indeed materialize.
Fr. Gruner has done more than anyone to promote the message of Fatima. Whatever happens next, he has done his part, and done it exceeding well. Thanks be to God for that. Without him, I shudder to think what things would be like.
My thoughts too David :))) Already asked him that if he is in Heaven he will help us. If he is not then please God grant him eternal rest+
P.s, David it's so easy to think maybe we are on the brink of utter ruin, and we probably are as we are engulfed in a deluge of evil in every corner of the world, and like I said you may be so right, I was just considering some other possibilities. Our Lord is always so full of unexpected surprises for us little creatures.
Interesting thoughts, DM. Thank you for sharing. You all are right - we can't give up, even if it seems like things are skidding down the slope at a rapid clip. Father didn't give up when it seemed easy to do so, so we shouldn't either.
Thank you, dear Father, for all your work and sufferings over all these years. May God grant you eternal rest.
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.
