Well, I can't say I have read all about Gaudium et Spes. And you are right, Traditionalists should not quote any VC II verses. Sorry if you are offended, and to you all out there who are offended by this post.

I was attracted by the text on Our Lady of La Salette, and I would like to believe that... not because of Vatican II but because of Her.

Comment by David Kaftal on September 21, 2018 at 6:32pm: Quoting Gaudium et Spes? That's one of the most overtly, over-the-top heretical of the Vat II documents, placing man on the same level as God! Pope Benedict XVI when he was Cardinal Ratzinger called it a counter-syllabus, referring to Pope Pius IX's Syllabus of Errors. Article 24 Paragraph 3 states "Indeed, the Lord Jesus, when He prayed to the Father, “that all may be one……as we are one” (Jn 17:21-22) opened up vistas closed to human reason, for He implied a certain likeness between the union of the divine [sic] Persons, and the unity of God’s sons in truth and charity. This likeness reveals that man, who is the only creature on earth which God willed for itself, cannot fully find himself except through a sincere gift of himself."
