IN HONOUR OF SAINT RAPHAEL ARCHANGEL

O Christ, thy servants' wanderings spare;

for whom Thy Maiden-Mother's prayer

Beseeches at Thy throne of grace

Mercy before the Father's face.

Be near us, Angel from the skies,

Whose name God's healing signifies;

All ills of flesh take Thou away,

Bring health to souls from truth that stray.

Ye ninefold ranks of angel-choirs

Whose order for our help conspires,

All past and present ills dispel,

From future danger guard us well.

Drive far away in shamed disgrace

From Christian lands the faithless race:

That so the rule one shepherd hold

Over one flock, one single fold.

To God the Father praise be done,

Who hath redeemed us through His Son;

Anoints us by the Holy Ghost,

And guards us by the Angel-host.

Archangel Raphael, angel of healing, you drove away the evil spirits from Sarah and accompanied Tobit in his journey, we prostrate before God with contrite and penitent hearts and beseech thee, guide us thru our journey and turn all waters of the world into a cleansing wash to heal and free us from all our iniquities and impurities, to protect us from all illness, and to free our world from any contagious disease. Deign to obtain for us deliverance from all disasters that threaten our lives.

Inspire us to be always faithful to the Almighty Triune God, and to be always devoted fervently to the Blessed Virgin, to thee and to all the Angels and Saints now and forever.

Amen.
