Daily Devotion to St. Joseph - Day 1

     God, because of the great love He bears for us and His great desire to see us saved, has given us among other means of salvation the practice of devotion to the saints.  It is His Will, that they, who are His friends, should intercede for us, and by their merits and prayers obtain graces for us which we ourselves do not deserve.

     But everyone must know that, after the Mother of God, St. Joseph is, of all the saints, the one dearest to God.  He has, therefore, great power with Him and can obtain graces for his devout clients. 

     Let us then frequently say:  St. Joseph, give me the greatest confidence in thy powerful intercession.

St. Joseph, you listened to the Angel and led the Blessed Mother and Jesus to safety, lead us and keep us safe on this unpleasant and difficult path of staying true to our Catholic Faith, as the saints did when they were tested. 

 St. Joseph inflame our family with the Love of Jesus  and Mary every day of our life  on earth.

I ask  the grace to imitate your virtues St. Joseph so I may be pleasing to the Heart of God.

St. Joseph ,pray for the Holy Father, that whatever shackles bind him from consecrating Russia may be broken and the consecration accomplished. For the conversion of Rome; for the conversion of the Pope and the conversion of all poor sinners. 

 St. Joseph, grant myself and my family peace and resignation to God's will at the hour of our  death and the Apostolic Pardon Prayer blessing will be given to me and our family at our death.† Blessed and exalted be the Precious Blood of Jesus and  in the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with love and reparation.
