Chennai Floods

The city of Chennai in south eastern India was severely affected by floods recently with some areas several feet under water.

IHM Crusader Bosco lives in that city but I have not heard from him and I hope that he is OK. The SSPX has a Mass center there and I just heard from the co-ordinator that he was spared the worst but slipped in the muck and fractured his right-hand wrist. He is a widower in his seventies and is living alone.

The Resistance has its priory in an apartment block in the city but this is not on the ground floor so it should have been spared. Likewise, it's Mass center is on the third floor of a school building.

Chennai is the place where St Thomas the Apostle was martyred. Here is a story I picked up a few days ago  about Chennai while I was looking into a prophesy of St Patrick that Ireland would one day be inundated:

Does anyone know of the prophecy about St Thomas and the stone in India. The jist of it is that when he went there he laid a stone/rock a certain distance from the shore and said when the water reached the stone it would be the end of the world .I remember reading it in a Catholic magazine 10 or 15 years ago .Apparently the water is very close now. I think it is near St Thomas's Cathedral in India

The SSPX Masses scheduled for Goa, in southwestern India, for December 3rd (St Francis Xavier, whose relics are enshrined in Goa), 4th & 5th were cancelled because the flight tickets were booked via Chennai.I believe Mumbai, 200 miles north of Goa, got Sunday Mass on December 6th but I don't know what route the priest took to get there.
