This novena is for the benefit of the Holy Souls in Purgatory.  It is especially recommended to try to visit a cemetery on All Souls Day and in the days  afterwards, to try to gain indulgences for the Poor Souls.  If you can, bring holy water on those visits. This is separate from the novena already organized to the Holy Souls, which is not only for their relief but also to ask for their help.My soul is athirst for the Living God: when shall I come and appear before the face of the Lord?May light eternal shine upon them, O Lord. With Thy saints forever, because Thou are merciful.Let us pray:O God, to Whom it belongs always to have mercy and to spare, be gracious to the souls of the faithful departed, and grant them the remission of all their sins, that, being freed from the bonds of death, they may enter into life eternal.   Through Christ, our Lord. +AmenPsalm 129Out of the…See More

Please say this short prayer each day during the month of November for the Poor Souls in Purgatory. My Jesus, by the sorrows Thou did suffer in Thy agony in the garden, in Thy scourging and crowning with thorns, in the way to Calvary, in Thy crucifixion and death, have mercy on the souls in Purgatory, and especially on those that are most forsaken.  Do Thou deliver them from the dire torments they endure.  Call them and admit them to Thy most sweet embrace in Paradise.+AmenOur Father.....Hail Mary......Eternal Rest.....~From the Raccolta  See More

O most gentle Heart of Jesus, ever present in the Blessed Sacrament, ever consumed with burning love for the poor captive souls in Purgatory, have mercy on the souls of Thy departed servants. Be not severe in Thy judgments, but let some drops of Thy Precious Blood fall upon the devouring flames. And do Thou, O merciful Savior, send Thy holy angels to conduct them to a place of refreshment, light and peace. Amen. O most compassionate Jesus, have mercy on the souls detained in Purgatory, for whose redemption Thou didst take upon Thyself our nature and endure a bitter death. Mercifully hear their sighs, look with pity upon the tears which they now shed before Thee, and by virtue of Thy Passion, release them from the pains due to their sins. O most merciful Jesus, let Thy Precious Blood reach down into Purgatory and refresh and revive the captive souls who suffer there. Stretch…See More

Please say the following prayer once a day during the month of October in honor of Our Lady, Queen of the Holy Rosary. O Queen of the Holy Rosary, in these times of such brazen impiety, manifest thy power with the signs of thine ancient victories, and from thy throne, whence thou dost dispense pardon and graces, mercifully regard the Church of thy Son, His Vicar on earth and every order of clergy and laity, who are sore oppressed in the mighty conflict. Do thou, who are the powerful vanquisher of all heresies, hasten the hour of mercy, even though the hour of God's justice is every day provoked by the countless sins of men.  For me, who am the least of men, kneeling before thee in supplication, do thou obtain the grace I need to live righteously upon earth and to reign among the just in heaven, while in company with all faithful Christians throughout the world, I salute thee…See More
