LITANY OF CHRIST OUR CHAMPION
Each petition of this litany is based on one of the many scriptural texts portraying the manifold aspects of Our Lord’s victory over Satan, His eternal reign as King of the universe, and His careful watch over each of us. Reciting these abundant affirmations of Christ’s triumphant love can strengthen our faith, brighten our hope, and deepen our love for Him as we ask His gracious assistance in spiritual battle.

God the Father, almighty Creator, whose power none can resist, have mercy on us and protect us.
God the Son, Victor over the Devil and everlasting King of the universe, have mercy on us and protect us.
God, the Holy Spirit, Sanctifier and Shield against temptation, have mercy on us and protect us.
Holy Trinity, one God of power, wisdom, and love, have mercy on us and protect us.
Lord Jesus Christ, You came to destroy the works of the Devil. Christ, be our Champion!
You vanquished the Tempter in the wilderness. Christ, be our Champion!
You saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Christ, be our Champion!
You banish the demons. Christ, be our Champion!
Your death destroyed the one who had the power of death. Christ, be our Champion!
You crushed the Serpent beneath Your heel. Christ, be our Champion!
Your cross disarmed and triumphed over the principalities and powers. Christ, be our Champion! You took captivity captive. Christ, be our Champion!
To You all authority in heaven and on earth has been given. Christ, be our Champion!
At Your name every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth. Christ, be our Champion!
Your lordship every tongue shall confess. Christ, be our Champion!

Your Blood conquers the accuser of the brethren. Son of God, deliver us!
Your word is a sword in Your mouth. Son of God, deliver us!

No demon power can separate us from Your love. Jesus, Your heart is our refuge.
You prepare a Table before us in the presence of our enemies. Jesus, Your heart is our refuge.
You will not let us be tempted beyond our strength. Jesus, Your heart is our refuge.
You provide the way of escape from temptation. Jesus, Your heart is our refuge.
You surround us with deliverance. Jesus, Your heart is our refuge.
You rise up for us against the wicked. Jesus, Your heart is our refuge.
You stand up for us against evildoers. Jesus, Your heart is our refuge.
You are our strength and our fortress. Jesus, Your heart is our refuge.
You are our God in whom we trust. Jesus, Your heart is our refuge.
You are a shield for all who take refuge in You. Jesus, Your heart is our refuge.
You give Your angels charge of us, to guard us in all our ways. Jesus, Your heart is our refuge.
Your angel encamps around those who fear You, and delivers them. Jesus, Your heart is our refuge.
You neither slumber nor sleep. Jesus, Your heart is our refuge.
You are our guard, and our shade on our right hand. Jesus, Your heart is our refuge.
You guard us from all evil. Jesus, Your heart is our refuge.
You will guard our going out and our coming in from this time forth and for evermore. Jesus, Your heart is our refuge.
Let us pray.
Almighty and eternal God, You sent Your only-begotten Son to vanquish our ancient Enemy, to free all who were captives in the kingdom of darkness, and to make us sons and daughters in the kingdom of light. Grant us, we beseech You, through His glorious triumph on the Cross, to take our place beside Him in the spiritual warfare that rages all around us, so that we may come at last to share in Your absolute victory over evil and kneel before the unending glory of Your throne in heaven.
We ask this through Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.
