Strange the same thing happened last year at the same time when they tried to bring jpii relics there. This year at the time they proclaim to have a "miracle" to push jpii onward to sainthood, it happens again.

My son was telling me about this earlier. I had heard there was terrible rain in Germany last week (?) but I hadn't heard about Lourdes until today. The pictures speak 10,00 words.
May God grant rest to the two people who died from this flooding.

Lourdes May Close For Summer

EXTENSIVE flood damage could force the Catholic pilgrimage site of Lourdes to remain closed to visitors for months.
Lourdes has been left devastated for the second time in less than a year by the Gave de Pau, the river that flows through the town, bursting its banks.
Thousands of tourists have had to be evacuated from their inundated hotels and visits to the town's celebrated grotto, underground basilica and other religious sites have been suspended since Tuesday.
Lourdes is visited by some six million people every year with the numbers in July and August reaching a peak of up to 40,000 every day.
Flooding last October cost an estimated 1.3 million euros of damage but the clean-up operation this time will be significantly more expensive, according to Thierry Castillo, who is in charge of the Lourdes diocese's economic affairs.

I hadn't thought of this before, but then remembered reading speculation on another forum that this is the result of France's sanctioning of same-sex "marriage." It does make sense. Sometimes Our Dear Lord acts in subtle ways but sometimes He is more direct.
May God have mercy on us all.

And now the US Supreme Court is sanctioning same-sex "marriage" in a roundabout way which will only open the door to more of this vile behavior being "officially" the law. :-(
We must pray very hard.
