It is understandable that those who believe they have 'found Christ' in a non-Catholic 'Christian' religion would hesitate to convert if they thought they would somehow 'lose Christ' upon becoming Catholic. The reality is, however, that those who convert to Christ's true Church, the Catholic Church, will not lose, but will only gain - and will, in fact, truly 'find Christ' (literally, in the Holy Eucharist!).
Further, note that anything that is true in a non-Catholic 'Christian' religion is not put aside upon becoming Catholic, but rather more truth (the full truth!) is gained. As a Catholic you will still have a Bible (the full, uncorrupted version) and will still believe in Jesus, in His redemption of man, Christ's Divinity, the Trinity, the Love of God, etc. In fact, anything that exists in your non-Catholic 'Christian' religion that is true was actually inherited from the Catholic Church, and will not be put aside upon conversion to the Catholic Church.
Some of the many benefits to be had upon converting to Christ's true Church - the Catholic Church - include...
* The Holy Eucharist - Christ's true flesh and blood!Christ Himself makes an appearance in every Mass!
* Enjoying the "most personal relationship possible with Christ"! How can one possibly have more personal relationship with Christ than the consuming of His very flesh? "As two pieces of wax fused together make up one, so he who receives Holy Communion is so united with Christ that Christ is in him and he is in Christ." (St. Cyril of Alexandria, Doctor of the Church)
* The complete, uncorrupted bible - no missing or corrupted books!
* Doctrinal clarity and doctrinal certainty - not to mention sound doctrine!
* A final authority, gifted with infallibility, to resolve faith and morals issues.
* The ability to receive forgiveness of all your sins by those with God's authority (and power) to do so (see Jn. 20:23).
* Abundant graces (especially through the Sacraments).
* Comfort in the knowledge that one's Christian religion is the same as that practiced by the earliest Christians, tracing right back to Christ.
* An enriched lifestyle which rejects sinful practices (e.g. contraception, divorce, abortion, etc.).
By converting, you will be...
* Entering Christ's one and only true Church - the only Church in the entire world established by Christ (see Mt. 16:18).
* Entering the only Church which Christ has promised will remain until the end of time (see Mt. 16:18).
* Entering the only Church with the keys to the kingdom of heaven (see Mt. 16:19).
* Following Christ in the very way He Himself established - and therefore pleasing Christ!
* Entering the only Church which - through God's protection - cannot succumb to the sinful / abhorrent practices consonant with modern mentality (e.g. women 'priests', toleration of abortion and divorce, etc.).
* Entering the only true Church whose teachings trace back to Christ and the Apostles.
* Entering the only true Church which can trace its origin back 2,000 years, directly to Christ Himself.
* Entering the only true Church which can lawfully dispense all of Christ's Sacraments.
* "Led on a path to ever-increasing faith."
* Joining hundreds of millions of others in believing Christ's revealed truths.
* Joining a great number of others who have come to realize that the Catholic Church is God's true Church (including many former Protestant 'ministers').
* United in faith with all (orthodox) Catholics throughout the world.
* Encouraged to honor Jesus' blessed Mother [and your mother! (see Rv. 12:17)], Mary.
* Able to appreciate the Communion of the Saints - including enjoying the assistance of many wonderful and powerful friends in heaven.
* Able to take advantage of indulgences, thereby remitting punishment due to sin.
* Able to take advantage of the many sacramentals which may enrich your faith life and raise your mind to God.
* Able to take advantage of the Church's patrimony of time-tested prayers, sacred music, spiritual exercises, theological works, devotions, etc.
* Able to enjoy the Church's rich and inspiring history of martyrs, saints, miraculous intercessions, heroic achievements, etc.
* Truly accepting Christ (Lk. 10:16: "Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.").
* Truly following the path of the commandments - remember that Jesus says if you love Him you will keep His commandments, and that if you keep His commandments you will remain in His love...
Jn. 14:15: "If you love me, you will keep my commandments."
Jn. 14:21: "Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him."
Jn. 15:10: "If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and remain in his love."
1 Jn. 5:3: For the love of God is this, that we keep his commandments.
2 Jn. 1:6: For this is love, that we walk according to his commandments
* No longer rejecting the oral traditions (see 2 Thes. 2:15).
* No longer following a religion of man.
* No longer following heresy (see Ti. 3:10-11).
* No longer following a "false religion which ultimately flows from the father of lies, the devil". Think your 'church' can't possibly stem from the father of lies because it teaches some truths (e.g. regarding Jesus)? You should understand that "This is the contrivance of the Devil, ever to mix error with truth." (St. John Chrysostom, Doctor of the Church)
* Finally becoming truly biblical!
* Put on the true path of salvation! "All who wish to reach salvation outside the [Catholic] Church are mistaken as to the way and are engaged in a futile effort." (Pope Leo XIII)
* Able to "Have your appetite for God finally be satisfied, as much as possible on earth" - "A soul cannot be eternally satisfied with kindness, and a soothing murmur, and the singing of hymns." (Benson) - God, therefore, has left the Eucharist - His own Flesh!
* Tending towards perfect love of God - "[T]he will cannot tend to God with perfect love, unless the intellect possesses right faith about Him." (St. Thomas Aquinas, Doctor of the Church and "greatest theologian in the history of the Church")
* Able to finally enjoy true peace and joy.
Further, you will no longer have to...
* Wonder what is true / feel uncertain about doctrinal matters.
* Explain away certain passages of the bible that contradict man-made religions.
* Be misled on what is required for salvation.
* Be entrapped by dangerous errors.
* Put up with inherent disunity, half-truths, and error.
* Constantly switch denominations to find one that suits your fancy.
* Be part of a rebellion against Christ's true Church (even if it was unintentional on your part).
If you are involved in your present 'church' in various groups and philanthropic activities, do not fear! There are many worthy groups and philanthropic activities in the Catholic Church - the very Church that "civilized the world" and brought aid to the poor for hundreds and hundreds of years before your present 'church' was ever even thought of.
If you are still reluctant to convert because your present religion is so familiar or comfortable, you should think carefully of the dire consequences of failing to do God's will. If you choose to remain in your error, you will have no one to blame but yourself. Remember that "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." (Heb. 10:31)
Truly, To Convert Is To Gain!

"And now, Venerable Brethren, permit Us to close this letter by addressing to you these words of Moses: 'If any man be on the Lord's side, let him join with me.' (Ex. 32:26)" (Pope St. Pius X, "Acerbo Nimis", 1905 A.D.)
"Neither wealth, nor honors, nor vanity can make a man happy during his life on earth, but only attachment to the service of God, when we are fortunate enough to realize that and carry it out properly." (St. John Vianney)
"The branch has the same form when it has been cut off from the vine; but of what profit for it is the form, if it does not live from the root?" (St. Augustine, Doctor of the Church)
"[N]o gift of God either to individuals or to nations is greater than to receive by His grace the Catholic faith, and having received it, to keep it with perseverance. This gift contains an abundance of other gifts by means of which individual persons receive both eternal happiness in heaven and greatness and prosperity for their state on earth." (Pope Leo XIII, "Quod Multum", 1886 A.D.)
"Oh, long sought after, tardily found, desire of the eyes, joy of the heart, the truth after many shadows, the fullness after many foretastes, the home after many storms, come to her poor wanderers, for she it is and she alone, who can unfold the meaning of your being and the secret of your destiny. She alone can open to you the gate of heaven and put you on your way." (Cardinal Newman, Catholic Convert)
"No man may legitimately do what God has forbidden nor leave undone what God has commanded by claiming that he does so according to his own private understanding of what reverence or devotion requires. For this would be an imprudent devotion, and an irreverent reverence, and not at all a proper humility. It is instead only an unrecognized pride to stand stubbornly against God's will and to disobey His pleasure." (St. Thomas More)
"Come to the Holy Roman Church, your mother and the head and teacher of all the churches. The source of religion comes from her. The rock of faith and the fount of priestly unity resides here, as well as the teaching of uncorrupted truth. We desire nothing more and find nothing more pleasant than to serve the glory of God with you and to work for the protection and the propagation of the Catholic faith. We want to save souls for whom We would willingly offer Our lives if necessary." (Pope Benedict XIV, "Ubi Primum", 1710 A.D.)
"If those about to come back to their most loving Mother [the Church] (not yet fully known, or culpably abandoned) should perceive that their return involves, not indeed the shedding of their blood (at which price nevertheless the Church was bought by Jesus Christ), but some lesser trouble and labor, let them clearly understand that this burden has been laid on them not by the will of man but by the will and command of God. They may thus, by the help of heavenly grace, realize and feel the truth of the divine saying, 'My yoke is sweet and my burden light' (Matt. xi., 30)." (Pope Leo XIII, "Satis Cognitum", 1896 A.D.)
"We ask each and every one of them to correspond to the interior movements of grace, and to seek to withdraw from that state in which they cannot be sure of their salvation. For even though by an unconscious desire and longing they have a certain relationship with the Mystical Body of the Redeemer, they still remain deprived of those many heavenly gifts and helps which can only be enjoyed in the Catholic Church... We wait for them with open and outstretched arms to come not to a stranger's house, but to their own, their father's home." (Pope Pius XII, "Mystici Coporis Christi", 1943 A.D.)
"But see, if any of you is asked whether he loves God, he replies in total confidence and certainty of mind: 'I do love Him.' But at the very beginning of the reading you heard what Truth says: 'If anyone loves Me, he will keep my word.' The proof of love, therefore, is the demonstrability of works. Hence the same John can say in his Epistle: 'Anyone who says, 'I love God', and does not keep His commands is a liar.' We truly love God if we subordinate our desires to His commands. For anyone who has been abandoning himself to his own illicit desires certainly does not love God, because he gainsays God in his own will." (Pope St. Gregory I the Great, Doctor of the Church, 6th century A.D.)
