The Costs of Delaying~Excerpt James Hanisch Intro by Fr. Gruner From the Book Only She Can Save Us

The Costs of Delaying
For the moment, we are still in a position of strength in which we can effectively respond to Heaven’s requests. But if, like the Kings of France, we continue to delay the execution of Our Lord’s command, we will soon meet a punishment similar to theirs. As Our Lord told Sister Lucy in August 1931 — already two years and two months after Heaven’s solemn request for the Consecration of Russia on June 13, 1929:

“Make it known to My ministers, that given they follow the example
of the King of France in delaying the execution of My command, they will
likewise follow him into misfortune.”

The command which Our Lord refers to is, of course, that the Pope and bishops consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. (Remember that Our Lady announced that the moment had come in which God asked for the Consecration of Russia.) But who were these “Kings of France” whose folly has become a proverb even in Heaven?

In the year 1689, the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus fell on June 17 th. On that day, a full century before Catholic France was devastated by its revolution of 1789, Our Lord appeared to Sister Margaret Mary Alacoque at the Visitation Monastery of Paray-le-Monial with a request that she was to transmit to King Louis XIV. Our Lord asked that the king solemnly consecrate France to His Sacred Heart, and even place an emblem of the Sacred Heart on the nation’s flag. Our Lord promised in return that He would humble all of the “haughty and proud heads” of the king’s enemies. Our Lord specified to Sister Margaret Mary that He had chosen the Jesuit Order to communicate this message of His great designs to the king. Mother de Saumaise of the Visitation Monastery made this revelation known to the Jesuits, and Father de la Chaise was designated by his Jesuit superior to pass it on to King Louis. But as the great Fatima historian Frère Michel of the Holy Trinity tells us, Father de la Chaise refused to pass on the message of the Sacred Heart to the king. (King Louis, however, eventually found out about Our Lord’s desires through means other than the Jesuits.)

Like Sister Lucy in our time, Sister Margaret Mary was known to be a chosen messenger of Heaven, as the visionary of the great revelations and promises of the Sacred Heart given in 1673. But in spite of the clear authenticity of Our Lord’s message, King Louis decided not to obey. He was the “Sun King,” King Louis the Great, the leading power in all of Europe. He did not need Our Lord’s help in humbling his enemies — or so he thought. Frère Michel describes how all the glory and power of the French monarchy fizzled away in the great Sun King’s own lifetime:

“[T]he year 1689 marked the turning point of his reign. In spite of all his ingenuity, and the incessant labors of his virtuous old age, in spite of his heroic patience in the face of the worst reversals, he did not succeed in decisively crushing ‘the haughty and proud heads’ of his enemies. These ‘enemies’ were the enemies of France, as well as the most perfidious adversaries of the Roman Church: Calvinist Holland remained unvanquished; the England of William the Orange, which later came under the Masonic Hanoverian dynasty, jealous of the glory and preponderance of France; and finally Protestant Prussia, this aggressor nation which continued to rise after 1701, for the misfortune of Europe.

“The great king died piously in 1701, but isolated and already powerless to prevent the coming catastrophes. His kingdom, deprived of the increase of
extraordinary graces and miraculous help of the Sacred Heart, was gravely menaced from without, and undermined from within by the frivolousness, deadly errors, cowardice, and betrayals which soon brought about its ruin.”Louis XIV was succeeded by his five-year-old great-grandson, Louis XV, who likewise paid no regard to Our Lord’s request. His successor, Louis XVI, also made no effort to obey until it was too late. On June 17, 1789 — one hundred years to the day after Our Lord had given His command for the consecration of France through Saint Margaret Mary — the lower parliamentary house or “Third Estate” rose up in defiance of the king, declaring itself to be the National Assembly, and claiming for itself the legislative authority in France, to the exclusion even of the king.

Less than four weeks later, the Bastille was stormed and King Louis XVI was imprisoned. Less than four years after that, in January 1793, the king was guillotined — publicly executed, as if he were a criminal for being a Catholic and a monarch. By the following September, the year-long Reign of Terror was underway, and the Revolution has continued to gain ascendancy over Western society ever since.

So Our Lord’s words to Sister Lucia are perfectly clear. To continue our delay in obeying Heaven’s command for the Consecration of Russia will be our ruin. Our Lord does not allow the graces that He offers to us to be despised indefinitely. Saint Alphonsus tells us that with God everything is measured, as we read in the Book of Wisdom: “Thou hast ordered all things in measure, and number, and weight.”All of the times and graces of our lives are perfectly measured out in God’s Providence. After a certain time, graces that have been repeatedly despised are withdrawn.

The same fate suffered by the King of France awaits the Pope, many bishops and priests, as well as many lay persons who exercise legitimate civil authority in society (since that authority comes to them from God, and thus they are ministers of God as well) if they do not do their part in time. Our time is now very short, and we dare not continue our delay in obeying Heaven’s command for the Consecration of Russia, lest our generation’s folly becomes a proverb to future ages.

Father Gruner writes:

“This generation has been chosen to be either blessed or cursed by Fatima. We have no other choice. We didn’t choose to be born in this generation, but we are here and the choice is ours. “We may think we have other choices, but we only have one choice. We can either obey Our Lady of Fatima, or not  “We cannot not obey Her on the pretext that we don’t really know what She wants. That’s simply not true. Nor can we not obey Her on the pretext that we don’t have to do so because it is a ‘private revelation.’ That also is not true. “We can either obey Our Lady and obtain the blessings that She promised — or, as our other alternative, we can refuse to obey Her and obtain the Fatima curse.

“We will be cursed, and we have been cursed up to now, for not obeying Her. And the curse will only get worse until the time finally comes when those who survive will say: ‘That generation that ignored Our Lady — we will not make their mistake. We will obey, and get the benefit.’” As Father Gruner points out, this blessing or curse will affect our whole generation. {...}

Thank you for the post Doreen and Dawn Marie.  Honest and sobering.

Our Lady of Fatima, I pray with love your will be Done accordingly. Amen

St. Joseph ,pray for the Holy Father, that whatever shackles bind him from consecrating Russia may be broken and the consecration accomplished. For the conversion of Rome; for the conversion of the Pope and the conversion of all poor sinners. Amen.
