Some of us are doing a 9 hour novena of rosaries on January 25th (the Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul) for our priests and bishops and in my case especially for my own priest Father Marc Vernoy who has been so disgustingly maligned and calumniated this past week very publicly on a so called Catholic forum by those who believe they are "On the Lord's side"....hmmm.

 

Anyhow, this is not an official event but anyone who wishes to join in please feel free to do so.

*NB: As of April 6th 2013  my statement concerning the resistance has been removed.  It was written at a time when things were going on that were rather intense.  My apologies if I offended anyone with what was written here previous.    However I still maintain the following:

 

There would have been far greater fruits of the resistance had they truly understood the power of the rosary and the Mother of God and her love of her Son and the love she bears for her priests and Christs Church.

 

Christ is the only Saviour of Tradition (which is nothing more than another word for Catholicism).

An Addendum:

I have always been very clear that my position is no agreement with Rome while Rome remains unconverted/no consecration of Russia and that position has been duly noted by the US District House and made very clear by me to them.

They have responded with thanks for making my position clear and have asked that we continue our work here of spreading devotion to the Immaculate Heart and praying for the SSPX.  This was sent to me via email from Father Duverger who was responding for Father Rostand.

That is where I stand.

One does not have to agree necessarily with the path another is on but one also can not use such a disagreement as an excuse for behavior which is anything but Catholic i.e. the behavior of those calling themselves the "resistance".

If you don't think what your Superior is doing is the will of God then take it to a higher power.  Take it to the one who can and will do something about it and who knows whether your thoughts on the matter are right or wrong!  His Name is Our Lord Jesus Christ.

I will join you for the 9 hour novena. A friend from our chapel called me to tell me there were some on a forum criticizing our good priest of our chapel. It upset me so! Our priest is an 'alter Christ' who is a true pastor for our souls!

How can they do this? They do not even know our priest!

I know, it is disturbing at best.  I'm so very sorry to hear that Mary Ellen, your priest will be prayed for heartily January 25th to be sure.

Fr. Vernoy drives 2 hours each way once a month to bring the Sacraments to us here.  One month he had to drive 2 hours to get here say Mass then drive another 2 and a half to get to the next location to serve Mass there.  He stays and offers catechism , teaches the boys how to serve, offers advice and is very pleasant to be around.  He has never spoken  harsh word that I've heard and when I was in the hospital he drove 2 hours to bring me Communion and Confession and to pray the rosary with me and my wife.  He was upset because he was detained a day from coming.  I was just glad he came at all.  Most priests wouldn't because of the distance.

My prayers for all  in this putrid mess, but maybe it is best to pray harder for the priests and layfolk who have gone so far from what is right that they would attack a priest like Fr. Vernoy and other priests who appear to me to be only trying to help souls and save them and bring them God.

and thank you! doing a nine hour novena of rosaries is very difficult but the priests, all of them, are worth the effort.  They are another Christ and to be sure many of them are in great need.
