2013 Priests' Meeting

Over 50 priests from around the United States District gathered at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary from February 4-8 for the 2013 Priests' Meeting.

The annual meeting allows the priests to meet with their confreres as well as benefit from various conferences that cover practical matters, as well as theological and philosophical ones.

This year's theme was on authority and so some of the conferences had titles such as:

• Man: a social animal by nature

• Authority: efficient cause of society

• Our Lord Jesus Christ and His religious power

• Authority in the Church

• Our Lord Jesus Christ and the political power

One of the climaxes of the meeting was the Solemn Mass, which was served by the priests!

Of course, the customary and intense hockey match between the priests and seminarians was held; and here we offer a short video of it, courtesy of Fr. John Young.
