Parishioner barred from Our Lady of Victory, SSPX for praying Leonine prayers after Low Mass

Threatened with arrest in publicly read letter befor Mass. Priest, not the Pastor, who read letter announced he was not comfortable reading the letter, but was compelled by Superior.

This is someone who has been assisting at Mass at OLV in Davie for close to a decade. His crime was to recite along with several others-- including the Father of a Society Priest-- the Leonine Prayers which the Pastor, Fr Thomas Brookes, ceased praying, stating these prayers were 'not necessary' when the weather blessing is prayed.

What world do we live in?

I'm so sorry for the poor parishioner this happened to.  So much injustice in this world :(

More prayers not less!!!!!

My heart is breaking for this  precious  parishioner and for the Priest that  was compelled to read the letter even though he did no want to read it. Lord, Lord have Mercy on us all. St. Joseph keep us safe on this unpleasant and difficult path of staying true to our Catholic Faith, as the saints did when they were tested.

St Joseph, pray for us
St Michael, pray for us
St Philomena, pray for us
And another one bites the dust. Another long time Parishioner expelled from SSPX Chapels in S Florida by Father Thomas Brookes. No explanation, no Fatherly concern, no offer of future dialogue.
Just banishment.

Sadly Adrienne, it is a sign a very sad one. And this is only the beginning of the insanity

at the SSPX churches. Maybe it will open the eyes of the "not so sure what to do" crowed.

It could happen right!? :(

I pray this is only the act of one madman and not a sign of more like things to com.

Dr Anca Maria Cernea mentioned in the Cardinal Burke Fatima Conference, October 2017 - that
After the suppression of the Leonine prayers in 1962, JPII encouraged the laity to say them in place of the priest....just sayin...
