New USA Seminary Groundbreaking

On Thursday, October 13, the groundbreaking for the SSPX's new St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary took place in the countryside near Buckingham, VA.

Amongst a score of faithful from across the United States, several priests were present including the SSPX's Bursar General, Fr. Emeric Baudot and Seminary Rector, Fr. Yves Le Roux.

Along with several short speeches to mark the occasion, the first shovelfuls of dirt were ceremoniously turned over to "break ground" for the eventual construction of the new North American seminary of the Society of St. Pius X.

On display were some architectural renderings of how the new proposed Cistercian mediaeval-style seminary will appear upon completion, with exterior and interior views.

After the ceremony, a banquet was held under a tent erected for the memorable event, of which we present some pictures.
