The reason there is silence on the part of Rome is that it is their brainstorm. It is their new vision of the Church. They are active and enthusiastic participants in this mess. When a man ceases believing in God, he will believe anything and everything...or in nothing at all, except for himself. This whole thing is a worship of self. What is in it for me? I am special. The world revolves around me. Whatever makes me feel good about myself.
May God have mercy on us all. The holy martyrs are weeping.

Cathleen, I think it is a time for chastisement. I only would weep for someone like the holy Fr. Manelli who is being tormented by this diabolical crowd. Anyone should know better.

You've hit the nail squarely on the head. This is the protestant make over of the once Holy Roman Catholic Church. This is plastic and fake. It is a mockery of the Sacred and of Holiness.
This is a man offering his son a scorpion when he has asked for bread.

The Lord in a Plastic Cup
-- Giving Communion at WYD in Rio (Rio de Janeiro) scurrilous, thoughtless, horrifying forms of an unworthy giving of Communion and a similar reception are customary to Catholics. At World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro the poor understanding of the Eucharist has reached a new high point of slovenliness.
World Youth Day 2013 in Rio de Janeiro showed a lack of sacramental understanding of the Eucharist, visible in a new "modern" form of Holy Eucharist. The consecrated Hosts were held in plastic cups. These containers went from hand to hand, were passed out by priests, laity, women and men, and give to the faithful, being passed over their heads.
As for the young people assembled at WYD, they are the victims of nothing less than spiritual child abuse, having been malformed in the Faith at the hands of negligent caregivers who have delighted in feeding them quasi-protestant pablum disguised as Catholic nourishment.
By every meaningful measure, the concrete structures of the Catholic Church are crumbling right before our very eyes as many, if not most, of our so-called “leaders” seem perfectly content to do little more than to emulate the example of Nero.
