Local Doctor Tells Patient to Stop Being “Obsessed” with his Cancer

Minneapolis, MN––Dr. Simon Townsend, in an interview with United States Magazine, sent a clear message to his patient, Mr. Christopher Watts, who is suffering from stage-four terminal cancer. “Mr. Watts needs to stop letting himself get locked up in small things like the ever-growing tumors in his lungs that daily threaten his life.” Citing a need for his patient to widen his scope and not look myopically at one particular issue, the doctor warned Watts to “see the big picture” lest his overall health “fall like a house of cards.” Dr. Townsend continued, remarking that, “[Mr. Watts] is constantly harping about his cancer, his treatment, his chemotherapy, how long he has to live, blah blah blah. He doesn’t even seem to realize that he’s gotten really skinny and lost practically all his hair. I think he’s stressing himself out too much and needs to relax.” At press time, Mr. Watts was weakly leaning forward in his hospital bed to see if he could take a sip of water out of a straw and keep it down.

No its not serious, its satire.  The Eye of the Tiber is a site who does satire.  I've been fooled more than once when people have posted their stuff when they did not accompany their post with who said it.

So grateful Michael titled it Eye of the Tiber or I would have been fooled again. lol

Parishioners Mystified By Sudden Appearance of Mysterious, Shiny Go...

Houston, TX:

Just weeks after being appointed a new young pastor, parishioners at St. Agatha Catholic Church in Houston, Texas were baffled this morning when they saw a large, gold, "magical box-looking thingy" sitting directly behind the altar as they entered St. Agatha Catholic Church. "Well, we all walked in to church this morning and saw this golden box placed right where our old pastor, Fr. Rick, sat during the Mass," a visibly shaken parishioner Carli Welk told reporters.
And we all just looked at each other and were all like, "What is that?" I told everyone to slowly back away from it."

Welk is now being heralded as a hero after calmly rushing all of the parishioners outside where she proceded to dial 9-1-1.

"I don't consider myself a hero," she later reported to a local Houston news affiliate. "I just did what I had to, you know? We didn't know what was in there or whether the thing itself was dangerous.
Some thought it was just an ornate refrigerator carrying some kind of supernatural bread...others actually thought there might actually be a body in there. Better safe than sorry."

At press time, state officials have been called to the scene after St. Agatha's new pastor was seen on his knees before the shiny gold box, reportedly transfixed and completely succumbing to the yet to be identified powers of the box.

A true democrat should not speak of certain difficult matters, because they will tell him that he is obsessed (as if denouncing the thousands of growing lives that are thrown away every day in the dumpster were an "obsession") 

To quote right-wing intellectual Spanish journalist Juan Manuel Prada quoting Pope Francis about obsessions you should be free of so you don't look stupid.
