Dolan-Off the Rails!
Could the American Patriotic Church be any more off the rails than it is and we aren’t talking JUST theologically.
When news broke this weekend that the Archdiocese of New York is actually paying for some employees birth control, abortions and sterilizations through a union-negotiated health insurance contract signed years ago .. it was beyond shameful and stupid looking.
Here is who some call “the Pope of the American Church” Cardinal Timothy Dolan leading the charge against Obama and his Obamacare program demanding that it not force the Church to pay for such evils .. and in the meantime .. IT ALREADY IS!
What gives here? Can the establishment Church really be this clueless?
Perception matters .. and for the hierarchy and the establishment ninnies who have known about this to have not either tried to correct it .. or fess up to it right away and try to change it just shows how far off the rails .. asleep at the switch .. off the reservation .. whatever metaphor you like .. the leaders are.
There is of course the moral question .. but since so many of the leaders disobey Canon law on a regular basis by giving pro-abortion politicians Holy Communion .. it shouldn’t be surprising that the immorality of this wouldn’t register.
Just exactly what DO church leaders and their staffs get up and do every morning? The faith is in shambles, the liturgy is virtually unrecognizable, parishes are being bordered up and sold off, souls are being lost by the millions, hypocritical or at best ridiculous policy decisions are made and continue to be pursued and that isn’t even the beginning of woes.
How much more does the American Patriotic Church have to steer off the rails before Rome steps in and does a MAJOR course correction?
