58 more seminarians for SSPX

Throughout the world, 58 seminarians have entered the SSPX's seminaries for the 2011-2012 year—so La Porte Latine reports.

Here in the United States at the North American seminary of St. Thomas Aquinas at Winona, Minnesota, bringing its total to 100 seminarians:

18 Americans and 1 Irishman have entered the first year of Spirituality
18 Americans and 2 Canadians have entered as pre-seminarians into the Humanities year
1 postulant for the brotherhood

At the Cure of Ars Seminary in Flavigny, France, for the first year of Spirituality have entered:

1 American
17 French
1 Spaniard

Entering the Spirituality Year at the German Seminary of the Sacred Heart in Zaitzkofen a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds:

3 Germans
1 Austrian
1 Spaniard
1 Lithuanian
1 Hollander
1 Hungarian
1 Pole
1 Czech
and 2 postulants to the brotherhood

For the northern hemisphere, that brings the total of entering seminarians to 48, while in the southern hemisphere, another 10 entered via the SSPX's seminaries of Holy Cross in Goulburn, Australia and Nuestra Senora Corredentora La Reja, Argentina.

It is from the La Reja seminary that we present some images of the ordinations to the subdiaconate and minor orders that recently occurred there, administered by Bishop Alfonso de Galarreta, which included seminarian David Baquerizo, from Shrine of St. Philomena in Miami, Florida—which upon the tragic death of its pastor, Fr. Timothy Hopkins, the SSPX has now begun to service.

Let us pray for the perseverance of these vocations which the Church so desperately needs.
