Event Description

Most powerful Patriarch St. Joseph, chaste Spouse of the Virgin, Christ’s valiant defender,
patron of the Universal Church, we kneel at thy feet on this thy feast day, first of all
in gratitude for the innumerable gifts and the constant assistance that thou hast bestowed on
the Priestly Society of St Pius X in its 40 years of existence, and particularly in the vast regions
of Asia and the Pacific for the last 28 years. Without thy mediation with Jesus and
Mary, we would never have seen all the fruits of grace which we see today in these regions.

[...]O St Joseph, head of the Holy Family, never was it known that anyone who implored thy help and sought thy intercession was left unaided. By the love which thou didst bear to Jesus and Mary, let thy fatherly heart be touched at the sight of the Mystical Body of Christ, and especially from the exalted seat of thy glory cast a loving glance upon our District of
Asia, spread over an area comprising half of the world’s population, most of it still pagan, living in the ignorance, or the refusal of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the true Life and the Light of the world. The harvest is indeed so great and the workers are so few, pray for us!

O Joseph most just, we hereby come to consecrate our District of Asia, with all its priests, faithful, mass centers and apostolic works to thee, being full of confidence in thy power, and begging thy heavenly protection.

O blessed St. Joseph, to whom was given not only to hear and to see the Savior that many kings never heard and saw, but also to carry Him, kiss Him, clothe Him and guard Him, and who, during the space of thirty years, lived in the most intimate familiarity with Him, take under thy powerful protection those whom He has clothed with His authority and
honored with the dignity of His priesthood, whom He has charged to continue His mission, to preach His Gospel, and to dispense everywhere His graces and blessings. Sustain them in their fatigues and labors; console them in their pains; fortify them in their combats; but above all, keep far from them all the evils of sin. Obtain for them the humility of St. John
the Baptist, the faith of St. Peter, the zeal and charity of St. Paul, the purity of St. John and the spirit of prayer and recollection of which thou, dear Saint, art the model, so that, after having been on earth, the faithful dispensers of the Mysteries of thy foster Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, they may in Heaven receive the recompense promised to pastors according to
the Heart of God.

O St Joseph, honor of domestic life and support of families, come to the help of our families who struggle to live according to the authentic Catholic life. Give to parents generosity in accepting to give life, and prudence in educating their children, removing all occasion
of sins from the home. Assist the youth exposed to so many temptations of all kind threatening their chastity, their faith and their vocation.

Glorious St. Joseph, model of all who are devoted to labor, obtain for us all the grace to work in the spirit of penance in expiation of our many sins; to work conscientiously by placing love of duty above our inclinations; to gratefully and joyously deem it an honor to employ and to develop by labor the gifts we have received from God, to work methodically,
peacefully, and in moderation and patience, without ever shrinking from it through weariness or difficulty to work; above all, with purity of intention and unselfishness, having unceasingly
before our eyes death and the account we have to render of time lost, talents unused, good not done, and vain complacency in success, so baneful to the work of God.

Despise not, O foster-father of the Redeemer, our humble supplication, but in thy bounty, hear and answer us. All for Jesus, all for Mary, all to imitate thee, O patriarch St. Joseph! This shall be our motto for life and eternity.

Amen.
