Event Description
Beginning July 16th 2011 the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Crusaders of the Immaculate Heart will be starting a five week preparation for our consecration to Mary on August 22, 2011 the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
We will be doing this under the guidance of(I should say with the help of) Father Marc Vernoy, Orlando Florida, St. Thomas More Chapel, of the Society of Saint Pius the X.
If you would like to follow in your own book, we will be using:
Consecration to Mary by Father Helmuts Libietis SSPX.
(this book can be found online or at Angelus press)
Father Vernoy can be reached via email for any questions or concerns you may have or spiritual advice you may need regarding the consecration. If you need his email address please send me a pm (email via the Crusaders site).

This consecration, the Pope explained, "tends essentially to union with Jesus, under the guidance of Mary."

This isn't my first consecration but like you Bill am getting hit pretty hard. The way you describe it is almost uncanny in that if I were to describe how it has been for me I would have used the exact same wording.

Yeah, my first one. Providentially, this Saturday is a day off for me....I haven't had a scheduled day off on a Saturday literally in decades... it'll be a good start, I think. Thanks for the support. Be assured of mine.

I've been reading through Fr Libietis' book, and I have to say this is kind of frightening. These passed couple of days I have been assailed by all sorts of temptations and whispers towards failure. Is anyone else going through this? Praying the Rosary lately has been arduous,it is difficult to get through just the day's Mysteries.
Even so, the battles of the next 5 weeks will be met with fierce determination, and hopefully St Michael leading me. Our Lady seems as if the light seen at the end of a tunnel. Let her wave me on! I haven't felt this far away from her in quite some time. Holy Marcel Lefebvre, pray for me, and all of us making this preparation. Because of you, Saint-in-waiting, this preparation is possible.

My copy of the book just arrived in the mail this past Saturday. I started skimming though it.....wow! This is going to be harder for me than I thought, but medicine can be hard to take, especially medicine for the soul. But I think I need this right now to cure my sick, sinful soul, and I think Our Blessed Mother inspired me to try to do this. Thank you, DM, for arranging this opportunity for us.

Father has suggested that on the Feast of the Immaculate Heart we each take a different time slot to make our consecration such as 2pm or 3pm etc. In this way it is done similar to the way the brevery is offered throughout the Church. Every hour throughout the world. Of course I doubt we will have enough people to do this for every hour but we will do what we can.
When it is closer to the date and we see how many souls have signed up then we will know better what time slots will be posted.
