To make reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

I just wanted to share that I prayed this novena almost continuously during the brief time that my youngest daughter was alive (she was born with a severe chromosomal defect and couldn't live long). This prayer was great consolation during dark days. Our Dear Lord saw fit to take her angelic soul to Himself on the First Friday of July that year, which, like all First Fridays, is dedicated to His Sacred Heart. I still miss her, but Our Dear Lord knows best. I guess what I am saying is that sometimes we don't get exactly what we pray for, but looking back it was for the best all around.
