Event Description

O holy patroness of those in need, St. Rita, whose pleadings before thy Divine Lord are almost irresistible, who for thy lavishness in granting favors has been called the Advocate of the Hopeless and even of the Impossible.  St. Rita, so humble, so pure, so mortified, so patient and of such compassionate love for thy Crucified Jesus that thou could obtain from Him whatever thy asked, on account of which all confidently have recourse to thee, expecting, if not relief, at least comfort.  Be propitious to our petition, showing thy power with God on behalf of thy suppliant.  Please be generous with us, as thou has been in so many wonderful cases, for the greater glory of God, for the spreading of devotion to thee, and for the consolation of those who trust in thee.  We promise, if our petition is granted, to glorify thee by making known thy favor, to bless and sing thy praises forever.  Relying on thy merits and power before the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we pray:

(here mention your request)

Obtain our request by the singular merits of thy childhood,

by thy perfect union with the Divine Will,

by thy heroic sufferings during thy married life,

by the consolation thou did experience in the conversion of thy husband,

by the sacrifice of thy children rather than see them grievously offend God,

by thy miraculous entrance into the convent,

by thy severe penances and thrice daily scourging,

by the suffering from thy miraculous wound given thee by the Crucified Savior,

by the divine love which consumed thy heart,

by thy remarkable devotion to the Blessed Sacrament on which alone thou did exist for 4 years,

by the happiness with which thou did depart to join thy Divine Spouse,

and by the perfect example which thou gives to people in every state of life.

Pray for us, O Holy St. Rita.

That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

+Amen

Hi, I've been absent a while but I will join in this Novena. How could I not when I live in St. Rita's House :) We named our new home after her 17 years ago. She interceded for us and against the odds found us a house that wasn't ready to be sold :) and found a buyer for our house that had been on the market for 7 months and wasn't selling. Prompted by the graces obtained by a Mass offered by the priest who introduced us to this holy saint a deal was done and the house was ours. Then she found the buyers for our old house who as it turned out were the agents who were meant to be selling our property :) God is good. May St. Rita pray for all our Crusaders.

Choices, choices!  So many great prayers to choose from.  I'd like to do this one too but I think I'm full up.
