Eternal Father, Thou did raise up Thy heroic servant, Blessed Miguel Pro as a witness of Thy great love and mercy for mankind. He was faithful unto death. When facing his executioners, he forgave them and then stretching out his arms in the Sign of the Cross he died proclaiming the name of Thy Most Holy Son.
Let his faithfulness and courage shine before us as an example of true faith in these trying times. Let his love of Thy Divine Son Jesus and Our Blessed Mother Mary be our guide to holiness in our daily lives, and grant us, O Lord, through the intercession of Thy martyr priest Miguel Pro the favors we now ask.....
here mention your petition(s)...
We ask this through Thy Divine Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, Who lives and reigns with Thee and the Holy Spirit, now and forever and ever.
+Amen

Day 3
For a special intention
Viva Christo Rey!
Dear Padre Pro, please pray for us.
"One of the policemen who had helped to hunt him down, Valentin Quintana, walked up to the priest and with tears in his eyes begged Fr. Pro to forgive him. Miguel put his arm around the shoulders of the shaking man and said, "You have not only my forgiveness but also my thanks."
"Blessed Miguel Pro, 20th Century Mexican Martyr" by the late Ann Ball
"Does our life become from day to day more painful, more oppressive, more replete with afflictions? Blessed be He a thousand times who desires it so. If life be harder, love makes it stronger and only this love, grounded in suffering, can carry the Cross of my Lord Jesus Christ. Love without egotism, without relying on self, but enkindling in the depth of the heart an ardent thirst to love and suffer for all those around us: a thirst that neither misfortune nor contempt can extinguish...."
According to one of Fr. Pro's biographers, Rev. M.D. Forrest, M.S.C. this was composed shortly before his death.
Bl. Miguel Pro, pray for us.
