Eternal Father, Thou did raise up Thy heroic servant, Blessed Miguel Pro as a witness of Thy great love and mercy for mankind. He was faithful unto death. When facing his executioners, he forgave them and then stretching out his arms in the Sign of the Cross he died proclaiming the name of Thy Most Holy Son.
Let his faithfulness and courage shine before us as an example of true faith in these trying times. Let his love of Thy Divine Son Jesus and Our Blessed Mother Mary be our guide to holiness in our daily lives, and grant us, O Lord, through the intercession of Thy martyr priest Miguel Pro the favors we now ask.....

"A poor old woman who had been blind for six years, and was therefore unable to leave her suburban town to attend the funeral, was persuaded by a friend to ask for Padre Pro's help. As soon as she finished her prayer, she arose full of joy, declaring she could see. The friend, unable to believe that the woman's prayer could have been answered so quickly, asked her to read a newspaper -- which she did so without difficulty. The woman and her friend reported the cure to a priest, who then immeadiately went to Mexico City and informed the Pro family -- in the very presence of the coffins of the martyrs."

For a very special intention
I think we need Padre Pro's courage, wisdom and even humor in these trying times our world is in. Mexico may claim him as her own special son, but many of us here in America and elsewhere admire him too. :-)
