Event Description

Dear Crusaders,

Each year we organize an event of prayer for the days of Advent. Last year we prayed the beautiful prayer "O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee." All told this prayer was offered with love over 54, 000 times during our Advent Sacrifice.

This year in light of so many distressing events both in the world and in the Church at large we would like to make our prayer for the Advent Sacrifice the simple but powerful supplication to Christ Our Lord of Kyrie Eleison! (Lord Have Mercy!)

*We also found the following short prayers to pick from of Our Lady. They carry with them a 300 day indulgence. They are being added in order to offer more prayer choices for the Advent Prayer Offering:

"O Mary, our hope, have pity on us." 300 days

"Mother of Mercy, pray for us." 300 days

"Bless us, Mary Maiden mild, bless us too, her tender Child." 300 days

This Advent we offer these simple prayers for the following intentions:

~For the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

~For the spread of the Social Kingship of Christ in every nation.

~For the conversion of poor sinners: especially for those Catholics who have fallen away from their faith and for those who by sin have lost God. (We ask that through the mercy of God, those that are lost be found once again)

God bless you Mary Ellen!

I think more than a few of us can relate to the spiritual desolation you mention and are glad to be here praying for you and eachother.  It is a consolation in itself+

If the Lord doesn't rest His Heart in His friends where will He rest it?  When we are afflicted or suffering spiritual desolation that is when God is sleeping peacefully with His head on our hearts like a little pillow :-)

With Love in the Heart of Mary

With all the novenas and these prayers, this Christmas will be the most blessed one I will have ever had, even though I will not make it to Mass.

Thank you for helping me while in a spiritual wasteland.

Last year we kept a tally (totals sent privately by pm to Tim Whitney) in order to keep ourselves in check.  In other words it is easy to slack off and by submitting our totals weekly it helped to keep us from dropping off.

This year we ask the same. All totals be sent via pm to Tim Whitney weekly, who at the end of Advent will tally the Sacrifice of prayer after which one of the Crusader children will place it as an offering in the manger on Christmas Day.

Thank you for choosing Kyrie Eleison, a short and powerful prayer.

Thank you for organizing this and chosing Kyrie Eleison as our prayer.  As the one receiving the tally, I would ask them to be sent every Saturday or Sunday.  When it gets nearer to Christmas, I will give you the deadline for your final tally so one of our children will be able to prepare the offering to the Infant Jesus.  God bless you all!
