"The true friends of the people are neither revolutionaries nor innovators, but men of tradition."
– Pope St. Pius X
The Catholic hierarchy in the Philippines should bring back the sacred Traditions in the Church such as the restoration of the Traditional Latin Tridentine Mass, the traditional sacraments, the wearing of cassocks by priests and implement all the traditional practices of the Church before Vatican II.
Since the advent of the Second Vatican Council, the Catholic Church as a whole was in grave crisis. Many people were confused and left when the Church opened herself to the modern world.
In the wake of the Second Vatican Council, an unprecedented number of changes have been implemented in the Church. Not only was the ancient rite of Mass changed ("for the first time in history, a manufactured liturgy was imposed upon the faithful"), but there was also a new canon law,
a new catechism, new prayers/songs, a new liturgical calendar, a new Bible translation, new canonization procedures, new rites for ordination and baptism, new exorcism procedures, indulgences were changed, etc.
Although not all changes were authorized or called for by Vatican II, the Second Vatican Council may be considered an impetus for such change. In fact, not just external practices have changed since this revolutionary council, but the entire orientation of the Church has changed. The changes, while not
revising infallible dogmas - which, of course is impossible - have nonetheless given the impression that the Church has changed entirely.
In fact, some have referred to the Church after the Second Vatican Council not as the
"Catholic Church", but as the "Post-Conciliar Church". This terminology is interesting especially in light of the fact that some post-conciliar documents from the highest levels of the Church may appear as if the Church itself started with Vatican II. As Amerio has stated, "This conviction that a great
innovation has occurred in the Church, attested by the universal change in everything from ideas to material objects to terminology, is also apparent in the continual reference made to the faith of the Second Vatican Council, while abandoning reference to the one Catholic Faith, which is the faith of all the councils." In any event, the Church after the Council has clearly presented a "new face" to the world.
Since the Second Vatican Council, everything seems to be turned upside down - and "much of that is in the name of unity with those outside the church". As a result, we have lost our own unity, our own traditions, and in some regards, our own way. Masses have become "meals", priests may be unorthodox, Church publications contain errors (e.g. the translation errors in the Mass), people have lost their faith. We have wasted much time and countless funds fighting abuses that never should have happened. And, worst of all, potentially thousands of souls have been lost and God has been offended. Kyrie Eleison.

The Catholic Church will evangelize the Philippines anew to win back Filipinos who have broken away and joined other churches.
Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma, president of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), on Monday said the undertaking would be part of a nine-year preparation by the Church for the celebration of the 500th year of Christianity in the Philippines.
Speaking at a news conference after the close of the CBCP’s biannual conference, Palma said the journey toward March 16, 2021—five centuries since the coming of Christianity to the Philippines—was an opportunity for the Church and its clergy to reflect on their shortcomings and how they could draw back people to the Catholic fold.
“It’s possible that we failed somewhere in the sense that people are transferring to another sector because they are not happy,” Palma said in a later talk with reporters.
Palma said the Church was willing to take up new ways and means to bring back people growing weak in their faith.
“We have been doing a lot of things already such as renewed enthusiasm in teachings, visits and other activities that could once more make people believe that the Church care for them,” Palma said.
The CBCP released a pastoral statement yesterday, saying the “new evangelization” meant considering “new methods and means for transmitting the Good News” more effectively.
The new evangelization would also include “bringing the Good News to the poor,” reaching out to the Catholic flock whose faith-life has been “largely eroded” and lost due to confusion, moral relativism, doubt, agnosticism and those who have joined other churches and religious sects.

Too bad +HE Palma doesn't try the tested methods which converted so many Filipinos in the first place....the Latin Mass and Traditional teachings and sacraments. :-( It's all the new methods which are bleeding the Church. :-(
Thank you for posting this, Renel.
