“Conservative Catholics” are the latest Americans to be smeared by members of Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign, leaked emails revealed on October 11 show.
Catholic beliefs are bashed as “backwards” and conservative Catholics are termed responsible for “an amazing bastardization of the faith” in one of the more than 1,000 hacked emails from Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta released in mid-October by WikiLeaks.
“I imagine they think it is the most socially acceptable politically conservative religion,” writes Clinton campaign Director of Communications Jennifer Palmieri. “Their rich friends wouldn't understand if they became evangelicals.”
The exchange between Palmieri, then president of the leftist Center for American Progress (CAP), John Halpin, a senior fellow for CAP, and Podesta, occurred in April 2011 and was entitled “Conservative Catholicism.”
“They can throw around ‘Thomistic’ thought and ‘subsidiarity’ and sound sophisticated because no one knows what the hell they're talking about,” Halpin wrote Palmieri and Podesta.
Halpin goes on to describe how “many of the most powerful elements of the conservative movement are all Catholic,” and refers to Catholic beliefs as “severely backwards” and asserts that conservative Catholics are utterly ignorant of Christian democracy.
“It's an amazing bastardization of the faith,” Halpin says in the email. “They must be attracted to the systematic thought and severely backwards gender relations and must be totally unaware of Christian democracy.”
Podesta, Palmieri and Halpen know nothing about what constitutes the Catholic Faith. They view the world and the Church through their warped, left-wing orientation.
Their contempt for Thomistic thought (otherwise known as philosophical realism) and for subsidiarity is no surprise. The Catholic principle of subsidiarity holds that what can be done by the lower should not be done by the higher. What a family can do for itself, the town should not do. What the town can do for itself, the federal government should not do. By contrast, big-government statists such as Hillary Clinton press for increasing control and regulation of business and individual lives.
Along similar lines of contempt for Christianity, we review Hillary Clinton’s speech to the 2015 Women in the World Summit in New York City where she addressed her commitment to “reproductive rights” - code for contraception and abortion. Here she pontificated, “Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will.And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.”
Podesta Admits Creating Leftist Infiltration of Church
A subsequent leaked email (from 2012) shows Hillary Clinton’s current campaign chairman John Podesta and a Left-wing activist casually discussing fomenting “revolution” in the Catholic Church.
“There needs to be a Catholic Spring, in which Catholics themselves demand the end of a middle ages dictatorship and the beginning of a little democracy and respect for gender equality in the Catholic Church,” Sandy Newman, president and founder of the progressive nonprofit Voices for Progress, writes to Podesta in an email titled “opening for a Catholic Spring? just musing.”
The emails were leaked in the third round of releases of Podesta’s emails by WikiLeaks.
Newman, who is Jewish, admits he does not know much about the Catholic Church and isn’t volunteering personally to subvert Catholic teachings. “Even if the idea isn’t crazy, I don’t qualify to be involved and I have not thought at all about how one would ‘plant the seeds of the revolution,’ or who would plant them.”
In response, Podesta assures Newman to rest easy for he and his progressive friends have already created organizations explicitly designed to infiltrate the Catholic Church with progressive ideology, though he cautions that the time may not be right for full revolution — just yet.

“We created Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good to organize for a moment like this. But I think it lacks the leadership to do so now. Likewise Catholics United. Like most Spring movements, I think this one will have to be bottom up,” Podesta writes.
In this February 2012 email, Mr. Newman ponders exploiting the US Bishops’ opposition to the Mandate and he asks whether the Catholic Health Association (CHA) might side with “progressives” in their offensive against the Church.
“Is contraceptive coverage an issue around which that could happen,” Newman asks Podesta. “The Bishops will undoubtedly continue the fight. Does the Catholic Hospital Association support of the Administration's new policy, together with ‘the 98%’ create an opportunity?”
Lifesite’s Lisa Bourne writes, “The CHA infamously opposed the USCCB in its stand against the controversial Mandate forcing religious employers to provide subsidized birth control and sterilization to its employees in violation of their religious principles, with Barack Obama citing the CHA’s support earlier this year to defend the federal government’s case against the Little sisters of the Poor.”
Even Catholic News Agency denounced the leftist “social-justice” oriented Catholics United for the Common Good as being neither Catholic nor for the common good.
Hillary “Hates Everyday Americans”
An April 2015 email from Podesta to Palmieri on campaign rhetoric portraying Clinton as caring about American citizens has Podesta writing “I know she has begun to hate everyday Americans, but I think we should use it once the first time she says I'm running for president because you and everyday Americans need a champion.”
Hillary’s campaign managers are fully aware of her contempt for everyday Americans, but that they should still lie about her as one who “cares about American citizens.”
Clinton Campaign Works Toward “an Unaware and Compliant Citizenry”
Another Clinton campaign email just released as part of the Wikileaks data dump talks about the need to maintain political power by producing “an unaware and compliant citizenry”.
The email was sent to Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta by former Clinton administration official Bill Ivey on March 13, 2016.
Ivey was appointed Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts during Bill Clinton’s second term. According to his bio, Ivey “is a trustee of the Center for American Progress (a Clinton campaign front), and was a Team Leader in the Barack Obama presidential transition.”
In the email, Ivey outlines the panic amongst some Democrats that Donald Trump’s “celebrity politics” persona cannot be matched by Hillary, who is “not an entertainer, and not a celebrity in the Trump, Kardashian mold.”
“Money isn’t all that important if you can conflate entertainment with the electoral process. Trump masters TV, TV so-called news picks up and repeats and repeats to death this opinionated blowhard and his hairbrained ideas, free-floating discontent attaches to a seeming strongman and we’re off and running,” complains Ivey.
Ivey wonders how Clinton can combat Trump’s larger than life appeal, worrying that simply ‘defaulting to policy’ won’t work.
“And as I’ve mentioned, we’ve all been quite content to demean government, drop civics and in general conspire to produce an unaware and compliant citizenry,” he writes.
“The unawareness remains strong but compliance is obviously fading rapidly. This problem demands some serious, serious thinking – and not just poll driven, demographically-inspired messaging.”
To emphasize, Ivey admits that the left has ‘conspired’ to “produce an unaware and compliant citizenry” but that they’re not as easy to manipulate anymore and that this is a problem. He characterizes “unawareness” amongst the public as a positive thing for the Clinton campaign.
These are just some of the damning emails released by Wikileaks in mid-October. For many of us, it confirms what we had long known from observation of current events.

Yes, HC is a she demon. But I have to say, this "revelation" about infiltration of the Catholic Church is not new.
These folks are a bit late to the party. These nasties have been around since snakes began to slither and nothing
has changed. Every evil entity seems to think it is the best thing since apple pie.....she/democrats/liberals/ who and whatever-- are no different.
But 'pride proceedeth the fall', and it won't be pretty or even enjoyable for us to watch.
Anyone having a hard time praying lately? And, anyone having strange dreams about current/future events?
I am and curious if anyone else is.

Me too. Trying to fight it. I can't stand to read the headlines anymore, and use this site and other good Catholic news / sites to keep my balance and clear my mind.

I try to remain focused that we were chosen to live at this very time and hopefully persevere to provide witness to the Truth. Years ago, I knew a young man who had worked as a republican aide in Washington D.C. He told me that if people knew what kind of deviants and perverts that walked the halls of congress, that they would all be voted out. After two years, he quit. This election is the culmination of a steady decline in our society, its morals, and direction. Look at the candidates, they are universally inept or power hungry. I believe most are corrupt and evil and view their constituencies as sheep to be shorn and controlled. They all mock the Church and especially traditional believers. Why? Because, our actions alone stand in contradiction to their false path. They demand obedience and conformity to their will. Our Blessed Lord asked for it, taught us, died for us, and yet we can follow His will or not, it is something we choose to give freely, because of Him and His love for all of us. That is the fundamental difference. They use force and coercion, Our Blessed Lord used Love and Truth. No matter what they do they can not ever erase Our Lord's sacrifice on Calvary for our sins, past, present, and future. It is what enrages them, for not one of them could ever muster the courage to take up His very real cross and truly sacrifice for all. Remember the words of the Angel at Fatima, "Penance, Penance, Penance."
I think we must look locally first, our parishes, our families, our communities, and work to make a difference there. Also, prepare. Food, water, warmth. Acquire new skills, or master old ones, like gardening. Above all, we must pray, no matter what and persevere. One of my favorite short videos of Bishop Williamson. May God bless him.

Hmmm me too. My concentration seems off I have had to re start prayers etc...
Anyway, Remember God wants our Will so even if you feel like you are just
saying words and are distracted keep praying but add "Just because I love You Jesus"
"Just because I love You Mother" this sends the demons away because it is an Act of Pure Love!
It is our Faith that will see us through these terrible times. Because things are going to get
much worse and it will seem as if all Christianity has been wiped from the face of the earth.
But no matter, even if they take this site down I Will Pray fervently and with LOVE for all of you
and your families.

Anti-Catholics & Elitist Bigots

Will Hillary Clinton clean out the nest of anti-Catholic bigots in her inner circle? Or is anti-Catholicism acceptable in her crowd?
In a 2011 email on which Clinton campaign chief John Podesta was copied, John Halpin, a fellow at the Center for American Progress that Podesta founded, trashed Rupert Murdoch for raising his kids in a misogynist religion.
The most “powerful elements” in the conservative movement are Catholic, railed Halpin: “It’s an amazing bastardization of the faith. They must be attracted to the systematic thought and severely backward gender relations…”
Clinton spokesperson Jennifer Palmieri agreed: “I imagine they think it is the most socially acceptable politically conservative religion. Their rich friends wouldn’t understand if they become evangelical.”
“Excellent point,” replied Halpin. “They can throw around ‘Thomistic’ thought and ‘subsidiarity’ and sound sophisticated because no one knows what the hell they are talking about.”
What the pair is mocking here are both the faith decisions of the Murdoch family and traditional Catholic beliefs and social teaching.
This is a pristine example of the anti-Catholicism that historian Arthur Schlesinger Sr., called “the deepest-held bias in the history of the American people.”
In another email in this latest document dump from WikiLeaks, writes Ben Wolfgang of The Washington Times, Podesta and Neera Tanden, the president of the Center for American Progress, mocked the Miss America pageant, because so many finalists are Southern girls and young women.
Said Podesta, “Do you think it’s weird that of the 15 finalists in the Miss America, 10 came from the 11 states of the CSA?”
The CSA would be the Confederate States of America.
“Not at all,” says Tanden, “I would imagine the only people who watch it are from the confederacy and by now they know that so they’ve rigged the thing in their honor.”
In another email, Podesta himself uses the sort of language liberals once said disqualified Nixon from staying on as president — regarding former Governor Bill Richardson. Podesta refers to him and other Hispanics whom he is trying to court for Clinton as “needy Latinos.”
What these emails reveal is the sneering contempt of liberal elites for Catholics, Evangelical Christians, Southerners, and even Hispanics loyal to them. And the contents of these emails correlate with the revealed bigotries of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
In September, Clinton told a gathering of rich contributors at a gay rights fundraiser in New York City:
“[Y]ou could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the ‘basket of deplorables.’ Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it.”
Responding to the cheers and laughter, Clinton went on, “Now, some of those folks — they are irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America.”
What Clinton said to the LGBT partisans echoed what Obama told rich contributors in San Francisco in 2008, who wondered why he was not doing better in Pennsylvania.
“You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and … the jobs have been gone now for 25 years. … And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
Obama was saying that when small-town Pennsylvanians fall behind, they blame others and revert to their bibles, bigotries and guns.
Yet Obama has never explained what caused him to sit content for 20 years — and be married and have his daughters baptized — in the church of a ranting racist like Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who, at the time of 9/11, roared from his pulpit “God Damn America!”
What so attracted Barack Obama to Rev. Wright’s bigotry?
These latest emails confirm what we already knew.
Our elites, who are forever charging others with “racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia,” are steeped in their own bigotries — toward Southerners, conservatives, Middle Americans, Evangelical Christians, and traditionalist Catholics — the “irredeemables.”
Though the election is still a month off, the campaign of 2016 has already done irreparable damage to the American establishment.
Its roots in the nation it purports to lead have been attenuated if not severed. It has shown the world a portrait of American democracy at its apex that approaches the repellent.
Through the savagery of its attacks on those who have risen up against it, the establishment has stripped itself of all claim to be the moral leader of American society. Its moral authority is gone.
Even if Clinton wins, it can no longer credibly speak for America.
As for the national press corps — the Fourth Estate — it has been compromised, its credibility crippled, as some of the greatest of the press institutions have nakedly shilled for the regime candidate, while others have been exposed as propagandists or corrupt collaborators posturing as objective reporters.
What institution in America today, besides the military, enjoys national respect? And if people do not respect the regime, if they believe it acts in its own cold interest rather than the nation’s, why should they respect or follow its leadership?
We have entered uncharted waters.
