A Matter of Timing

The timing here is certainly remarkable. I just received an email from Angelus to request a Novena for Archbishop Lefebvre beginning today to end on the day he was born into eternal life, March 25, 1991.

‘Tradidi enim vobis, in primis quod et accepi”
1 Cor. 15, 3.

Note this: March 25 this year will be the 25th anniversary of Archbishop Lefebvre’s death, and also, Good Friday, the day Our Lord died for our sins, and also, the Annunciation and Incarnation of Our Lord Jesus Christ. And so we will mark, on March 25, the beginning and end of Our Lord’s Life on that same day, plus, the obedient acceptance of the Blessed Virgin Mary of her role as Mother of the Savior, and also the date on which our saintly Archbishop entered glory.

Surely we must give all this some prayerful thought!

And now the Novena to be said daily through March 25:

O Jesus, Eternal High Priest, who deigned to elevate Thy faithful servant Marcel Lefebvre to the episcopal dignity and to grant him the grace of being a fearless defender of the Holy Mass, of the Catholic Priesthood, of Thy Holy Church, and of the Holy See, of being a courageous apostle of Thy Kingdom on earth, of being a devoted servant of Thy holy Mother, and of being a shining example of charity, of humility and of all virtues; bestow upon us now, by his merits, the graces we beseech of Thee, ____ , so that, assured of his powerful intercession to Thee, we may one day see him elevated to the glory of the altar. Amen.

Most Precious Blood of Jesus, save us, save our priests!

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, crush the head of satan, restore the Church!

St. Joseph, protect the Church, protect our families.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

Remember, pray the Rosary and confound the devil!
