I've been listening to Magnificat Media when I can. It's such a blessing. Today they are interviewing a lady called Rita Davidson who is the author of Immodesty Satan's Virtue. Rita is aiming to complete the new edition (the original has been out of print) by 13th October! I've been following her apostolate Little Flowers Family Press for a while and they've gone through some tough times! Do listen if you can, Magnificat Radio are airing their programme at the following times 6am, 7am, 3pm, or 4pm, CDT, USA.

Nice.  I'm also going to give this a listen.  Right now I'm a subscriber to The Restoration Radio Network.  They have some free shows, like the history show with Charles Coulombe, but you have to pay for Francis Watch, my favorite.

Hi All!  

I'm brand new here and am looking forward to exploring this site.  I saw this discussion about Magnificat Radio and wanted to chime in.  I just discovered them yesterday and today, I've been listening all morning.  I'm thrilled to have an actual traditional Catholic internet radio site.  Yay.  

My question, though:  There was a Saint of the Day spot and a young woman proceeded to give a brief rundown of St. Dominic of Silos.  Um, that's the saint for the Novus Ordo calendar.  Not the traditional calendar which I was assuming they'd be following.  All my missals and calendars indicate December 20th is the Vigil of St. Thomas.

Is that site really traditional in the sense that we mean, or not actually?  Thanks in advance if anyone has any light to shed.

I do know they are SSPX supporters, and promote the travels of the

Our Lady of Fatima statue of the SSPX, and have video streams

from St. Thomas More Chapel/SSPX.

Thanks everyone for listening to my question.  I sent an email to Magnificat Radio with my question and here is a portion of the answer:

"Yes, you are correct that today is the Vigil of St. Thomas. However,  
there is no story on St. Thomas for today, Sunday, December 20th,  
2015. We will be featuring St. Thomas the Apostle tomorrow since it is  
his Feast day tomorrow."

"There are several saints throughout the year that simply can not be  
featured in one book. We are using the book Saints for Young People  
for Every Day of the Year by the Daughters of St. Paul. This was a  
book we found at our library at our church.  Another book we reference  
is Butler's Lives of the Saints, and Lives of the Saints part II....."

That answers my question.  That's not necessarily what I would do but heck, it's not my radio station.  :)  

I replied with a "suggestion box comment" that it might be beneficial on Ferial Days or days like today to read a little bit from Dom Gueranger's "The Liturgical Year" for December 20th, the Vigil of St. Thomas, instead of giving a story of the Saint from the Novus Ordo Calendar.  But that's just me and my opinion.

I thanked her and assured her that I looked forward to listening and enjoying their radio station.
