The video does not do justice to the true power of the sermon.  I haven't heard H.E. speak with so much fire in a long time.  Absolutely excellent.

This weekend was for me a much needed shot in the arm of grace.  Being here alone and without the Sacraments not to mention without the company of my fellow Catholics is akin to sort of being in a spiritual desert.  So I am eternally grateful to have had Mass for the last 6 days and on some days to assist (although not to receive Communion twice, only once) at two Masses in one day.

May the Good God sustain us all in this dry martyrdom which we are all enduring in this unprecedented crisis in the Church.

And a very heartfelt thank you to Joseph for all of his incredible hospitality while I was there!

All we can do is hang onto our Rosaries and Scapulars and do the best we can to die in a state of grace. It's getting uglier and uglier out there.

And pray and do penance and fast and sacrifice for others, of course, and pray the Rosary for the Consecration of Russia. For myself, that seems an almost impossible task, especially the fasting part. As I mentioned in a P.M. to someone recently, "Now if only I could find a hair shirt big enough to fit me... "
