It appears to be another case of a "well intentioned clergyman". What the Cardinal proposes is of course not a bad thing but compared to the actual crisis in the Church and world it seems akin to putting out a four alarm fire with a garden hose.
Besides, he misses the boat completely by failing to mention that the end of the crisis will only come with the consecration.
Ave Marie x3 for the Pope to Consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart Of Mary
Found it...
Last week, Francis seemed to double down on his dismissal of Latin Mass traditionalists. On March 7, he celebrated Mass at the Roman church where Pope Paul VI exactly 50 years before had celebrated Mass in Italian for the first time.
On leaving the church, according to the Catholic News Service, Francis said: "Let us give thanks to the Lord for what he has done in his church in these 50 years of liturgical reform. It was really a courageous move by the church to get closer to the people of God so that they could understand well what it does, and this is important for us: to follow Mass like this.”

I'm (literally) posting that one as we speak. Just saw it a few minutes ago.
ROME, March 11, 2015 (LifeSiteNews.com) – This weekend the Vatican formally hosted one of Britain’s most virulently pro-abortion and pro-homosexual writers, as well as the head of an American organization promoting female ordination, at an officially sanctioned event inside Vatican City walls. Organizers spoke to Vatican Radio as well as the secular press, praising the new atmosphere within the Church’s leadership that made the conference possible.
As part of the Vatican’s official observance of International Women’s Day, this Sunday saw two events, one brought in from outside and the other organized by the Pontifical Council for Culture. The latter conference has come under public criticism for its “ham-fisted,” “tone-deaf,” “uncatholic,” and feminist-inspired approach to “Women’s Cultures.”
St. Joseph, you listened to the Angel and led the Blessed Mother and Jesus to safety, lead us and keep us safe on this unpleasant and difficult path of staying true to our Catholic Faith, as the saints did when they were tested.

I agree completely. As much as I hate to say it, it is more and more apparent that Vatican is staffed by degenerates that seek only to please the new Springtime of the Church of Man. The Pope is openly hostile to tradition and actively seeks its destruction. When he stated the now famous "who am I to judge?", this seems to have been the clarion call to all modernists and post modernists to come out of the woodwork. How can the leadership of the SSPX believe any good can come from a reconciliation with people like this? It is beyond the pale.
