Interesting take. Praying!  It's a great talk but I must firmly disagree with the last 2 minutes. JPII is most likely not a saint....for me personally I did not mourn him. The Church in the future will see to all these novus ordo newly "sainted" people and decide if such a title will remain.

I'm a Traditional Catholic, and I pray that God has mercy on our sinful world and does not allow a Vatican II Pope like John Paul II and all the rest to carry on the destruction of the One Holy, Catholic, Apostolic Church.  This interview of Father Altman was informative to me because I did not know the background of Cardinal Pizzaballa.  Whomever is chosen Pope, may he restore Tradition back to its rightful place in the Church and bring Catholics home.

Putting aside the St. Malachy Prophecy of the Popes, it's interesting that the new Pope selected  "Leo" as his name.  Does this have anything to do with the vision/conversation between God and Satan that Pope Leo XIII heard while on the Altar that so terrified him that he wrote the St. Michael the Archangel Prayer that begins "Defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.....?"  There is a battle in the world between good and evil, God and Satan.  Pope Leo XIV is aware of this and may have chosen to honor Pope Leo XIII by becoming No. XIV and calling on St. Michael the Archangel for his protection.

Sad to say his track record suggests otherwise. His agenda to create the synodal church which is to say to destroy the Catholic Church suggests it is taken more out of a place of mockery than honor.  It has been said that he chose it because Pope Leo XIII was in their minds a social justice type.  Not true of course, at least not they way the modernists/marxists think.

All indications are this man will fool the greater lot.  But I truly believe despite Cupich and company being so tickled they got him in God will not be mocked.  It is very possible this papacy will be one of the shortest after JPI.
