That is a great blessing to be so close to the Sacraments but do be careful driving in the snow and ice. Mary's angels be with you in all your travels.
I grew up in the snowbelt so I know what it's like. 15 minutes can seem like a looooonnng time when your in a blizzard or on ice.
Yes that's me with the Swiss Guards, aren't they handsome !! I was there in 2007. My son and I did the Scavi tour where the excavations are, under St Peter's Altar - and saw where his relics are. My daughter was mean't to come too, but we somehow we lost her in the crowd :( As for the persimmons, I'm pleased to meet someone who loves them as much as me. Last year was a bumper year, not so good this year.
Father MacPherson in flying to Auckland soon, they have found a venue for the Mass tomorrow and Sunday. Happily a few more things survived the chapel fire - most of the Sacred Heart Statue, some brass. But the building has to be demolished. I'm sure good will come out of it to the glory of God, its what I'm praying for.
Have you checked out the New Zealand SSPX site in the internet? - just new. http://www.sspx.org.nz/ I've been wondering about Fr Ockerse, how is he doing ? He was one of the first SSPX priests I met, just the once, before he got transferred. It was only the 3rd or 4th time I attended the SSPX chapel in Hamilton. I've been in Wanganui since 1996, and feel very spoiled to be in such a blessed place. God bless you Isabelle, and your loved ones.
Dear Isabelle, thanks for your message. Just to save confusion 'out there' I won't approve, only because its NOT the St. Anthony's Chapel in Wanganui that was lost, but the Chapel of the Immaculate Heart of Mary at the Auckland Mass Centre in Avondale, served by our priests weekly (Fr Robert MacPherson, whom you probably know as he is a Canadian, at present). I was very interested to see that you have visited our area - did you come to Mass there ? Thanks for your concern and prayers, much appreciated ! God bless you.
Thank you Isabelle, I pray that you and your family have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas, with love. Alley

Thankyou so much and a Blessed Christmas to you and yours. It is 4 oclock here on christmas day so all celebration are just about over. Kids a dowstairs reading from their new e-books so Lorna and I are getting a bit of quite time in, relaxing from a big lunch, which started after Holy mass at 9oclock and finished a little after 3.
Do you know a Fr Doran I think he is from Canada? Fr has left the SSPX and I think he is planning the local parish
Hello again Isabelle, I'm not that functional at using these web pages either, but I do love the content and comments. Anyways the last I heard was that Fr. should have been out of hospital this week, nothing heard since Monday. Carleton Place is a small town of 9,000
people by the way! Take care, God bless and have a blessed Advent.
I was at Mass Yesterday (Sat. Nov. 24) with Fr. Fox in Ottawa, I forgot to ask Fr. Fox re: Fr. Ockerse but the server told that he asked about Fr. Ockerse and was told that he would be getting out of hospital Sat. evening or thereabouts. I'll ask Fr. Fox at Mass tomorrow (Mon. Nov. 26).
Hello and God bless, I'm kind of new to the site but have never really sent out any notes, so I've decided to begin by saying hello to my fellow Canadians and one from New Zealand because I lived there in the past. I'm at the SSPX chapel in Ottawa, we are so blessed to have this site and join in the prayers for Tradition, be assured of my prayers for you Isabelle. I have only just come to the Catholic Faith 2 years ago (God led me right to Tradition), isn't He Glorious!! God bless you and keep you.

Dear Isabelle,
No, I am not really in Siberia....I just feel like it sometimes. I only put that there to be funny.
I wish you and your family a most Blessed and Merry Christmas. May Our Dear Infant Savior bless and keep you now and in the coming New Year.
