Prayer on the Feast of the Holy Innocents

O God, Whose praise the martyred Innocents on this day confessed, not by speaking, but by dying:  destroy in us all the evils of sin, that our life also may proclaim by deeds Thy faith which our tongue professes. Through our Lord.

Prayer to St. Andrew, Patron Saint of my family

Prayer to St. Andrew

as your Patron Saint

Saint Andrew, whom I have chosen as my special patron, pray for me that I, too, may one day glorify the Blessed Trinity in heaven. Obtain for me your lively faith, that I may consider all persons, things, and events in the light of almighty God. Pray, that I may be generous in making sacrifices of temporal things to promote my eternal interests, as you so wisely…

Simultaneous Pilgrimages in Reparation for the Reformation

There have been talks of starting a sort of "Companions of the Reformation Martyrs" group for several months, here in the UK, we have not officially got our "act together," as such but between us we have made a mini pilgrimages to some of our favourite Martyrs. On November 15th both Abbot Richard Whiting in Glastonbury and Hugh Faringdon of Reading Abbey were visited and prayed at by St Michael's parishioners and St Saviour's parishioners simultaneously. Several of us visited their places of…

St Gregory Thaumaturgus, feast day November 17

As a disciple of the great Origin he defended the doctrine of the Church against the heretical Paul of Samosata. He suffered greatly in the persecution of Decidus and then from the barbarian…
