almost 20 years of battling melanoma, 10 years battling amyloidosis and dialysis, and other assorted ailments, mom has taken a turn for the worse. Hospitalized for a week now, she was supposed to be transferred to a rehab today, but was unable to he moved because of a high fever setting in. Sometimes the cures are as bad as the diseases. May it be God’s Will that she recover from this. Her first great grandchild is due in November. She’ll be 89 in June. She received the Sacrament of Extreme Unction this evening by a Holy Priest of the SSPV.
We will have a Mass said for her as we try to do for any immediate family members of Crusaders who pass away. My condolences to you and your family Bill. (can you please send me her full name so I can give it to the priest, or I can send you the stipend for the Mass and you can ask your priest to say it, whatever you chose is fine by me).
My condolences too, to you and to your family, Bill.
May your Mother´s soul rest in peace.
Requiem æternam dona ei, Domine. Et lux perpetua luceat ei:
Requiescat in pace. Amen.
Thank you everyone for your kindness. Dawn, you’re a doll, I pm’d you mom’s name. Because of Memorial Day and Ascension Thursday we had a tough time making the funeral arrangements. We’ll bury her on Friday.
Eternal rest grant unto Bill's Mother , O Lord let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen †
My prays are with you Bill and family at this time.
Immaculate Heart of Mary pray for us. Amen.
When Father gets here (should be the first week of June) I'll let him know to have the Mass said. <3
Dear Bill, may very sincere condolences on your Mom's passing. May Our Dear Lord grant her soul eternal rest, and may He strengthen and comfort you and your family.
Thank you all for your kindness. I’m back home in Fl and went back to work yesterday. Kept busy and had a good day, but I’m off today and can’t shake off this sadness. I can’t stop thinking about the hours leading up to her death and how she looked in that hospital bed. I’m grateful she received Extreme Unction and died in a state of Grace. I’m grateful i was there for her final days and moment of death. I’m so used to calling her early monday mornings before she left for dialysis and actually reached for the phone when i woke up this morning. this awful dread swept over me— i can’t call my mom any more.
Praying Bill. God bless.
